I know that it raises buillding stages, but do buildings automatically grow to those bigger stages, or do you have to download larger buildings?

Actually, it just adds more growth stages. There are a few re-lots of pre-existing default buildings so that they have higher growth stages, but you'll clearly want more than just a handful.

In other words, yes, you'll need downloading.

Thanks. I've been working on downloads for twenty minutes now. :)

I also have a question about the CAM. Will the optional CAM Census Drives conflict with this I-HT jobs fix:

Neither the CAM nor that particular mod mentions anything about incompatibility but I just want to be sure since it's an optional component. I ask because they both seem to modify the same system, just with different purposes.

I just installed it and started playing in my city again, and commercial demand was maxed out at all wealth levels. What happened, and can I fix it?

I have no experience with the CAM (yet) but I know that it recommends to start a fresh new region after having installed it. If you want to use the CAM in an existing region there seems to be some essential info in the manual. Could this be the reason?

By the way, where can I find the full manual for CAM 1.0? Isn't it supposed to come with the installation file?

Good luck with this. I've stopped using CAM because I felt it skewed the game too much. If you want a megalopolis that's OK. I've gotten over that in 10 years of play.

Best to start a new region.

Yeah, I read the manual; it just said to go ahead at your own risk, basically.

I had to search the manual on google. The readme had links, but they wouldn't work.

The PDF manual should indeed be in the download up on the SC4D LEX.

Also, the CAM works out of the box with Maxis buildings--it includes exemplars to adjust their stages to match the new ones included in the CAM. I'd avoid picking up the so-called "Starter Packs", and instead pick up the SimGoober packs, plus nycc06's, tag_one's, and jestarr's buildings off the LEX (there's virtually no Stage 9-15 buildings on the STEX). The Starter Packs were made before there was a lot of content supporting the higher growth stages, and they use a bunch of STEX downloads (esp. DuskTrooper's skyscrapers) that are packaged individually and require removing some files.

I've downloaded lots of Dusktrooper's buildings and I obliterated the city. Thanks for the help.
