good evening ladies and gents.

Some of you may remember me i am Lynks or was Lynks.

A few years ago i was forced to give up on my projects. I am back.

I will be working on building a pc but in the mean time i will be drawing the new lots on paper. And i am taking requests.

lord of The Rings lots and bats to compleate my modd i started a few years ago.

I will also be looking to putting a team together in time to help me get the modd compleated.

He was here a couple days ago and talked me into comming back and going to collage after i finish school for computer grafix. Hes going to build me acomputer once i save up the money. Told him i would start the drawings.

i dont remember having a huge fan base for LOTR.

Gosh i had allmost forgotten the pier bat. I do remember doing it now.

Thank you for your compliments on my work but i had alot of help from many people here who took me under their wings and taught me everything i know. Took me three years to learn it all but it was worth the effort.

Hi Ariana - I just wanted to say that I have really enjoyed using some of your rural/agricultural BATs from a while back. As for LOTR - perhaps some Human buildings like the Green Dragon Pub (was that what it was called?) would have some overlap between LOTR and and old rural style that more people could use. Just my two cents. Thanks again for sharing your great BAT creations!

i beleive your thinking of the prancing poney in bree. The green dragon was in the shire.

However i was working on the prancing poney before my computer crashed three years ago. If memeory served me right i had allmost compleated was having trouble with the roof.

I will have to recreate it from scratch when i get my new computer.

I will also do some of the buildings from bree and if i could get some good pics of say rohan and gondor ill draw some of them up as well.

Hello Mary. (I assume that is your name.)

I'm a huge L.O.T.R. fan, and I think a L.O.T.R. Mod is a creative idea. If done well, this could be a great mod. I like the idea of creating small buildings such as the buildings from Bree/Hobbiton with a mix of L.O.T.R. and rural SC4. I also think you should try to create Minas Tirith, as well as Barad-dur, Orthanc/Isengard, Hobbit Holes/other buildings, Minas Morgul, and Rivendell. These would be quite difficult to create, however. Something easier to do would be to create flora from L.O.T.R., such as Ents as ploppable trees.

This is an excellent idea, and I wish you luck! Daniel (emperordaniel on ST) would love this, if he was still around...

i wrote down the requests. If memory serves me right orthanc tower was compleated by someone esle. I could be wrong. Back when i was bating i had asked someone to do the harder buildings since my bating was not that advanced yet. Also the golden hall is done that i saw on the files system here when i checed it out a few days ago to see if my work is still here.

I've got the weekend off so I'm going to start working on some drawings...

The Wetta workshop has some pretty good models of the requested buildings ect mentioned above. I think i have the prancing poney downloaded to my phone i also have the actual drawing from Tolkinss map book of places. .

The actual building itself butted up against a mointian or very large hill and that is where the hobbit rooms were located. From what i could tell it was about 2 floors high the main floor had an opening for the stables and a place for the horses to graze. Now for use in simcity ill have to use the wetta workshop version so i can give it a front and back since this will have to sit on a normal lot.

Ents are tree hurders sorry if the word is not spelled right. Anyways they are shepherds of the forest.

RE: The Prancing Poney

I want to take elements from both the Tolkien map of the Prancing Poney and the Wetta Worshop model and combine them. When I get to a PC I'll post a pic of both so you have a better idea as to what i'm trying to do...

If you want the green dragon I'll have to see if I can find a good pic of it so far I've had no luck in locating a really good picture.

My first draft drawing of the prancing poney is done. Getting better at drawing again.

Ive started drafts of the hobbit holes there not very good right now but i hope to get them better...

The landscape textures and trees i used prev for the region was pegs but cant remember the name of the packs i used i think i saw them on the stex tuesday when i was at a pc.

I did find last night while at my frinds house the prop packs for the hobbit homes. The bree type ones and also my early versions of hobbit hills i could not tell if i had the updated ones on the stex.

this is just a small update. I have a first draft of the Prancing Poney compleated. Mind you I am still learning to draw in 3D but it should give you an idea of the building and how it will eventually look like in Gmax once I get my PC.

I started a second draft but messed up on it so I have to redraw it.

I also have a 2D drawing of some ideas for the fronts of the new hobbit homes.

I am hoping to make it to the library this Tuesday to get the pics to photobucket then here. Sorry it has been to hot to try to make an extra trip myself and my lady has had company and her car was broken. So if its cool enough Tuesday ill try to get to the library.

In the meantime I'll work on my second draft of the Inn..
