Where did you hear there wasn't terraforming?

We don't even know if there isn't terraforming...

Kotaku's wrap-up on SC2013's presence at E3 made it perfectly clear that there was no Terraforming shown and there will be no Terraforming in the Retail release.

Oh yes, reticulating splines:

No, it's not perfectly clear.

Am I correct to assume that SC2013 will only be released on PC and not on Mac? Hopefully I'm wrong, since I think EA would be making a mistake in that regard.

Why not dual-boot like everyone else?

Hopefully, they will treat offices separately from shops.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

"They did not terraform (there's no re-shaping of land in this game)"

The way that's worded could mean anything from "They didn't terraform because it was an E3 demo" to "There's no terraforming at this point in the game's development,"

I wouldn't be able to dual-boot Windows and play SC2013 due to my personal beliefs about operating systems.

I wonder if his casual (Totally Radical) manner of speaking made the Maxis guys humor him enough to let down their guard and give him more exclusive news?

From what I've seen, I'd give SimCity at E3 a solid...Meh. Maxis said that they would show why the online requirement was necessary at E3. This is what I was waiting to hear. I'm not worried about the simulation side (although I'm a bit worried that the cities look a tad small). I wanted to know why the always online "feature" was so great, and it seems the answer was "Because that's how we built it."

Well, they did show regional play..... but we couldn't see it. It was only shown at the event with no coverage.

I am a big, big fan of the game so far, and really love the new direction of the Glassbox engine, and variety of the game. But, I am also an automata guy, and can't help but notice that there is a lot of repetitive automata in terms of civilian vehicles, maybe even more so than SimCity 4. Anyone else notice this in the E3 walkthrough, or am I fishing for a little too much variety?

Wait until the game's released. It's not finished yet, so there are obviously going to be things that aren't finished!
