Farming Island

what the best way to have farming on an Island. I'm thinking have house along the coast the more in land is where the farming happens 

anyone else got ideas.

Actually, that’s exactly what I would do. But perhaps you could give me the size of the island you are planning to erect, so I know what to work with. But I can inform you that you should first build a sizable town maybe thirty or forty thousand Sims. And then have your farming communities sprawl out from that city.

its best to look for inspiration, with semi-rural CJs, such as Urland, _marsh_'s CJs and the various Shozaloza CJs.

On an island, I would try to get some fishing BATS if you can...
