The war of 1812 was in the year 1812, easy as that.

Strictly speaking, the war started in 1812 but lasted through 1814.

The point of the question is that a person should be easily able to answer it but a bot trying to register won't. Considering the year is in the name it's supposed to be an obvious answer even if you've never heard of it. Of course, recognizing that isn't quite as easy if one does not speak English all that well. And being from a place where American or British history isn't really taught in schools also adds difficulty.

Could be much worse. For example, what was the name of Caesar's wife?

Ah, yes, but she was also the high-priestess of the cult of the Mother (outlawed in male-dominated Rome). So what was her name?

If memory serves, I believe it was his 2nd wife called smething like Pompea.

During their divorce proceedings she was accused by lawyers of crimes against the republic, to which Caesar said "Caesar's wife must be above suspicion".

    Hope that's right.

I don't think he ever divorced Calpurnia.

It's no good, I had to look it up to refresh the old memory banks.

    Caesar was married 3 times.

His first wife Cornelia died in childbirth,

His second wife was Pompeia, who he divorced.

He was then married to Calpurnia until his death.

And of course he also had relations with Cleopatra, who bore him a son Caesarion.

    Fascinating stuff.

What color was George Washington's white horse?

    Orange ?

Interesting. The first two were obvious political marriages, especially the one to the daughter (sister?) of Pompey. HBO has espoused the theory that Cleo cuckolded Caesar with a centurion and that Caesarion was "illegitimate" but Caesar didn't know it. Any way, as a true Roman he left his estate to his adopted some Octavian (Augustus).

George Washington's white horse was gray.
