    Hi guys!!

I have read that to play in windows mode you just add -w after the target. I have tried that multipule times and it doesnt work.. I have windows 7 64bit . Does anyone know any tricks to make it work ? Or maybe something im forgetting to do. I did it to my wifes copy ( she has windows xp ) and it worked just fine :/ ... Thanks in Advance!! :ducky:

I'm on Xp, so this is just a possibility...

Are you sure you put the space between the dash (-) and the end of the command line? Also, depending on the screen's resolution, it might appear to be full screen but actually be in windowed mode. With the -w on the command line, does the game still scroll when the cursor reaches the edges? If yes, then something is not working. If no, then the game is in windowed mode, and a different resolution is needed to see a window.

Again, I'm not using Win7, but these are things I've noticed in Xp.

I don't know if it helps but here's the shortcut that I use for windowed mode:-

    "C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -intro:off -CustomResolution:enabled -r1280x800 -w

A mistake I often make is that the program path needs to be in quotes, that is, the bit before the switches.

The -r1280x800 part is the actual screen resolution - just change 1280x800 to whatever you wish.

Also, when I want to switch back to full-screen mode, I need to use another shortcut to disable the windowed mode:-

    "C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -intro:off -CustomResolution:enabled -r1280x800 -f

And a link that I found helpful:-

    Hope this helps.
