Wow, ton's of questions

All the SimMars buildings were made by the talented B.A.T.ers of SimMars team, not by me. I just made their lots more suitable for Terran environments, like Earth, terraformed Mars or any extrasolar Earth-like planet. Check the SimMars forum for pictures of the original lots. Many members already made futuristic buildings, like the yellow building with the Russian text, before making the available for SimMars. You may find out some of them in Stex already published. By the way, the building is included in Barsoom Project as an internal dependency (this means that you'll already have it).

Which versions will be included?

All the above are already available in Barsoom Project part 1. The Maxis school will be available in part 2.

The blue white police car belong to the PEG COP CAR MOD, a package of beautiful police cars that replaces the original one. Choose only 1 of them.

You can get the solar panels from SC4Devotion. Those panels are animated during the day, making them a great choice for small green towns. You need however to me a member in order to get them. Just make a log in, it's free and easy.

The RIMP style of the spacecrafts will require tons of dependencies. Most probably I'll make a tutorial to teach you you to make them. It's easy and fun, all you need is the Lot Editor and nothing else.

And by the way... stop making questions, don't be shy and get the Barsoom stuff :thumb:

I just finished the corner textures of my future walls. This is the texture for the inner corners...

Now I'm working on diagonal textures. In game pictures when all of them will be ready

I just finished with the diagonal textures and make all of them available to the game. Have in mind that I used the to make my textures, so I didn't made them from scratch. Also I made them with M.S. Paint. Bad idea, because the diagonal textures doesn't look as smooth and realistic as they should. Don't worry, I'll remake them soon. So let's go to the today update

We are talking about SciFi - there is no "going too far", only "boldly going where no man has gone before"!

Seriously, that's a very creative idea - I like it a lot!

If I may make a suggestion, you could easily edit some variations of your texture (with a ventilation grate instead of a window, or with some door lines, or pipes, or other stuff). You wouldn't even have to make more lots, because textures can be randomized just like props. If you did it this way, a player would plop down one and the same lot 20 times in a row, but hew would still get a varied result. And if he plopped the same 20 lots again, he'd get a slightly different result. And if he doesn't like the look of a particular tile, he can simply bulldoze it and plop again.

Just an idea, maybe it's of any use for you at some point.

I already have a texture with a door. You can find it in one of my previous posts. I also received an another idea, about water trickling down it to make a transition for park streams. Something like this...

Some extra variation is welcomed. I'll learn how to make a family texture and I'll see what I can do

Better names are welcomed

With them, you can build multilevel cities and 3D city zones.

Build rooftop aerodromes and watch the planes land above those buildings. The passengers will be transported to and from the airport by conveyors in those buildings, while many of the terminals themselves will also be inside those buildings.

epicblunder from SimPeg made an awesome texture with a waterfall on the wall

The lots are not ready yet, but here you can take a small taste of how I'm playing with this new texture.

Rooftop parks, green skyscrapers... endless possibilities!!

I just made my version of the new Paeng's playgrounds

What? Let me explain.

The Maxis team made a small variety of parks, that can be placed alone or in compilation. Of course more variations are always welcomed. On the other hand, there was not any trail path for our parks. Until now, there are tons of sets with differed trail paths and parks, everyone with it's own strategy and ability. However you can't have all those parks because they can't fit each other. For instance, the trail paths and parks made by B.S.C. team and Pegasus have both cool stuff, but they can't fit together. So I took the best of them and relot them, to fit better in my cities.

How? What style I choose? Do be honest, I don't like the too much civilized parks, like this...

I hate them!

They are too much clean, too much symmetric, too much perfect, too much boring! A park should bring the nature itself to the city, not a parody of it. Nature and technology should be one thing, a mix of culture and environment. Something like this...

By having this in my mind, I made a personal project for my way of building parks. I took the best from Pegasus, S.F.B.T., SimMars, B.S.C., Paeng, W.I.P., Murimk e.t.c., relot them and unify them. Here is a taste of an upgraded version of my project

mike3775 from SC4D gave me a very nice idea about the Future Walls. How about entry way for roads? I played with this idea, trying to make a transit enable cosmetic piece. Transit enable walls are possible. You can see cars entering the building and exit from it. However they deform the ground. The taller the building, the bigger the effect. Check those pictures to see what I mean.

An another idea is to play with They don't deform the ground and looks nice. The buildings will look a bit like bunkers, but who cares? I can make a special texture for those tunnels, if you approve this idea. Maybe I can use the same way for railroads as well. What next? Future Walls that act like passenger and freight train stations?

Now these are much better!I suggest to use a sort of special entrance like into a garage or something but is clear that tunnel has a nice effect.

Sorry friends but I can't resist in making a new useless update about Future Walls

I remember myself trying to make a city in Simcity 3000, inspired by the ideas of Francisco Mujica and General Motors about future cities. I even made some suitable buildings in B.A.+ (Building Architect Plus).

With Future Walls, this concept is possible. Make some transportation systems, rise some hills, turn them into buildings and build a system of elevated walkways. If you want, you can connect them for very interesting results

Sometimes no news is bad news. After a few problems with my P.C. and my personal life, don't expect any progress in my projects. At least for now. This means that Future Walls and the sequel of Barsoom Project will probably killed.

I'm, back! Did you miss me? I'm sure not...

Now that everything is fixed, It's time to keep on with Barsoom Project and more Maxis-made reloted rewards. They're not in their final shape, so feel free to suggest.

This is the movie studio. As you can see, it's not ready yet. I'll replace the Maxis road with something better and fill the empty spaces with... I don't know. Feedbacks are welcomed.



Not many changes in the mayor stadium, just adding a few trees to make it a little more attractive.



This is the new zoo. Thanks to holograms and virtual reality, there's no reason to keep animals in cages. You can now watch the animals in real time and in their natural environments. Fox example, you can see free lions without visiting Africa. Something like planetarium, a live one.



And finally, the university. Still under construction.

I upgraded the above buildings, so I hope you enjoy them. If not, feel free to propose. Probably I'll add more details, like trash bins and more benches.

The movie studio is ready and better. We already have digital 3D movies. In the future, we'll have holographic movies in virtual reality cinemas (if they'll still exist). So how about a large building, instead of a chaotic collection of studios and sceneries?



More trees and other details for the virtual zoo. I still remember the old days, where cyberspace and virtual reality was the way of the future. Still nothing, but who knows?



I think that now the university is better. This time, I tried to hide the Maxis building. Not the best attempt, but still better than no attempt at all.



The number of the dependencies increased to 27. But since we're talking about thousands of lots, I don't think that 27 dependencies are too much. Right?
