Hi im new here and have just got back to playing sc4 again, i was wonder if someone can give me some insight on something, i downloaded all simgoobers packs and his small shops pack has a ACE Hardware for some reason this is the only building that grows in my commercial zone i have literally about 12 of them is there a way to fix that or it just happens randomly? thanks in advance.

Are any of the regular Maxis lots growing anywhere in your cities? If not, you might have one of the Maxis building blockers installed.

Yes, there is a few maxis lots growing, but of all the custom lots i downloaded just ace hardware is growing for some reason, i guess my sims just like hardware tools lol.. im going to try and fool around with the lot sizes in my commercial zone and see if that has something to do with it..

How many custom BATs do you have? If all the lot sizes are the same in your zones and if it's an odd size that only the Ace Hardware has, that wouldn't surprise me either.

Isn't Ace Hardware that 2x4 lot? If so, then try zoning only 3 tiles deep. Ace Hardware probably offers more CS§§ jobs on that lot size than other buildings, so whenever you have commercial zones that are 4 tiles deep, they will split/combine to grow those 2x4 Ace Hardware lots. You could also bulldoze them all temporarily, save & ecit, and remove the 2x4 lot from your plugins folder if it's getting on your nerves.

As far as I can see, it grows on 2x2, 2x3, and 3x4. Apparently I had a different building in mind. Anyway, if there is one particularly lot that grows too often for your taste (my guess is that it's probably the 2x3), then you can delete it and only use the other ones.

Some of the SG stuff grows a lot - there's a naughty bookstore in one of his NIMBY packs that grows like a weed, as does Goober's Nuts - which always seems to grow near the airports for me...

I have a Best Buy by SG that grows a lot. He makes really good stuff though.
