I have a question about nam interchanges.

    1. About the Diag-ortho ELHW interchange, i think is a bad model and causing weaving in 2 sections. And must be removed in Monolithic NAM
    2. Four way NAM interchanges is not variative. I want turbines, windmills and cloverstacks in Monolithic NAM. If you create it, please show me the pictures.

Are you looking for pre-done interchanges that you just plop? If so, I doubt they will make them due to the time/complexity of doing so. HOWEVER, I have seen people successfully make the interchanges you mention using the NAM as it is. I would suggest you take a look at the "Show us your Interchanges" thread if you haven't already. It's packed with ideas. Link -->

Well, one, you have to consider that the cloverleaf interchanges have the same weaving effect (just on the outermost part of the highway), and no, the OxD MHW interchange won't be removed because that would upset people still using it.

And two, if you're asking for prefabs,... Never gonna happen. Too much of a headache to model and path.

Of course the designs for some of the MHW interchanges are a bit unrealistic (and somewhat subpar in my opinion) but you (REALLY!!!) must consider that they were made before the RHW got popular.

There are four reasons why we don't create Maxis Highway interchange anymore:

    1. The setups are very inflexible. They are single-purpose only
    2. They are very, VERY labour-intensive and time consuming to make. Modeling takes up the most part of the time and effort, since it's very picky and you must use a very specific method. That's why the development of any model-based NAM component is slow (see High Speed Rail Mod and also the not NAM-related Highway Re-Styling Mod). Also, pathing is also quite complex for these interchanges. Because it's so labour intensive, this will "eat up" resources (time and effort) we could spend on other NAM components. Would you sacrifice the new Real Highway Mod, the Network Widening Mod and the Railway Addon Mod for just a few Maxis Highway interchanges?
    3. The interchanges are under-scaled. They are even smaller than interchanges in Real Life we can describe as tight:
      dia37.jpg
We are limited to a maximum size of 16x16 tiles for a puzzle piece. After that, IID allocation runs out and we can't make these things any larger.
    4. Why create new Maxis Highway interchanges if you can do the same and more with the more flexible Real Highway? Wouldn't that be redundant?

    Best,

    Maarten

As far as MHW interchanges go all that can really be done is elevating and de-elevating existing interchanges.
