Sorry for my poor explanation but still only a few weeks into re-discovering SC.

I am running SC4 Rush Hour on my 2011 mac mini with al the proper patchs installed. I also have NAM installed and working properly.

Some custom ploppables from the stex work great and others freeze my game the second I plop them.

Any help for a newbie to the community.

    1. Should all my custom downloads be put in the docs/.../plugins or apps/.../ plugins.

    2. Also I have NAM and I love it but I would like NWM but it seems to slow the game down a lot. Anone have any links to the proper install of this or it just naturally slows the game.

    3. Is there any mod that allows you to build a road under a ploppable or under a zoned area without rendering it ungrowable?

Thanks so much for anyone that canhelp.

Firstly, sometimes for some strange reason plugins just wont work. You can always try to redownload them, or make sure you have all of the listed dependiencies. I could help out a bit more and give you more detailed advise, so if you could please list a couple files you find that aren't woring, that would be great.

    1. Its up to you. I choose the douments route, but I find that both work. Although I would stick with one only, don't put them in both because the results could be unsatisfactory.

    2. I haven't found this. You may want to go through the documents again to make sure you have everything installed correctly. Sorry, I don't have any links. Most plgins will slow down the game, but it shouldn't be noticable in one big go. Try the NWM with only the NAM and no other plugins and see if it is still as slow, if it isn't, then maybe there are a couple of plugins that are conflicting with the NWM to make the game slow down.

    3. Check out the Big Dig. It converts traffic into subway traffic. So it does what you are looking for, but there are a few people who think that converting road traffic into subway and then back isn't the best idea for your cities, but it fulfills your purpose.

Thank so much. I had already deleted all the files that were causing me problems so I could not tell you which ones they were. I will have to check out the Big Dig. It is for aesthetic reasons so I don't mind what is underground.
