EP1 Update clarification

So I recently purchased the SC4 Deluxe game from amazon and have installed all the updates for the night lighting as per Boggy1's thread. I checked the updates file and well some did not get updated while others did. My exe file updated correctly as the file version is 1.1.640.0 so far so good. I checked the dat files and it all looked great except the simcity_1 to simcity_4 dats files sizes did not update to the correct size. I thought it should have worked as all the other files that were to be updated got updated.

So to let you know it live in North America so I would assume I use the sku_1 update but the games manual had information about the uk.ea.com so should I have installed sku_2? BTW I may have installed them both as I was frustrated... hope this is not the reason.

What did I do wrong?

If it's the north american version it should have the E for everyone ESRB

rating logo on the disc,if it doesn't you probably have the uk version then.

Ether way re-install the game & install only the updates for the version you

have.

There are only 2 updates required for deluxe.The rush hour update & the

nightlighting update(at least for the north american version anyway).

Well I looked into the files again and the only file that did not update was the simcity_1.dat which is very odd. I will uninstall/install the game and aplly the correct updates.

You can check your install disks to see which one has the SKU folder/file in it and check to see what your SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) number is.
