If you click on them, they tend to show you what the problem is. It is usually unbalanced resources or lack of freight and transport services.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

That's one of the f..cked up things about this game... too much micromanagement... it really seems to rely more on residenses than anything else .... I'm not sure if the building requirements can be altered to make them less dependent on other aspects of the game. If there is, I definitely going learn how to do it... the new Aon Building and the new Houston's Wells Fargo building are two examples of buildings going bankrupt about 5 to 10 minutes of gameplay..

Wooooow, I never thought I'd hear such comment from a Simtropolis member :)Too much micromanagement??? :)

Anyway, a hint: check your Freight/Passenger services. In 8 cases out of 10 they are the reason for bancrupcy :)

Sim City 4 Deluxe... Micromanage.... excuse me.. I should mention that I play (well USED to play) SC4Deluxe with a accessive amount of mods which makes micromanaging useless....

But I have to mention.... too many office buildings require too many outside resources in order to function...It makes the game frustrating if you plop a building...and within 5 minutes its bankrupt..

Oh please... not that... I have to at least make each city at least 2 or 3 million before any serious trading can be done... A fellow xl'ler was going to teach me how to make all buildings ploppable.. I'm still waiting to hear from him...

I have to admit belonging to the frustrated player group. The game really doesn't lend itself to the person who just wants to build and grow a large city, which is too bad because it has a lot of great features the SC4 doesn't have. However I have pretty much gone back to SimCity and it's thousands of lots, bats and mods.

You make all buildings ploppable by turning on the Advanced Placement Mode.
