Hello, I am new here! I have started playing again after a 5 year break. So it will take me a while to get my back into things. But things are looking good

My region is downloaded here, it is "New Orleans". The bright green color is not in the game. It will disappear as I establish every city.

The region is Wonderfall. Wonderfall is mainly the township Lilla Europa, a european and russian settlement. There will be areas of mixed cultures too.

So far I only use the in-game cheats so I won't have to use power or water. I also have a "no dilapidation" mod from this site, and a money tree park.

I use euro road textures. Please forgive my graphics card. All settings are at max.

A popular opera house. There can be up to 4 hours of waiting in line!

The shopping mall area is growing as well. There is a brand new IKEA store there now.

The residential neighborhood is made up of low and medium income houses, mostly prefab concrete blocks.

Thank you so much! I try as best I can but I consider myself a humle newbie.

Here is update number 2. I have added the french quarters, also known as The Village.

It is the most exclusive part of Lilla Europa. It is an old neighborhood that was designed

to remind the french refugees from SimWar II of home. The buildings are exact copies of the originals, down to every stone.

They are just a bit smaller. Now The Village is a major tourist attraction.

At the south exit is a small cemetary dedicated to the first french settlers.

At the north exit, there is a fair and a zoo alongside a small german settlement.

Update 3: Expansion. A small update showing some new low income homes.

The first industries have opened!

I welcome any advice or criticism when it comes to CJ or city building, however there is no point in mentioning the graphics since I've done what I can with it.

Nice start.

A few things.

1. When taking pictures for your journal turn your graphics to the maximum and turn on automata (your city looks like a ghost town).

2. Turn off the grid by pressing G when you are taking your journal photos.

3. Take the pictures with the game in turtle mode not paused, so you can see activity of the automata and we don't see that ugly yellow pause box (you can also search for a mod - I don't have a link - that removes that ugly yellow pause box.

4. Turn off the missions bubbles by going to the Sims menu and toggling it off.

Make those improvements and you will be well on your way to a popular and beautiful city journal.

Update 4: Chikaka.

Lilla Europa is on hold for a few days. My other, smaller township is Chikaka, an asian style suburb south of L.E.

I'd appreciate link suggestions to download sites with asian stuff

other than this site. I did not find much on SC4D.

Overview. Chikaka has 13,000 jobs but not a single soul lives here. I will place out residential areas in the empty space.

I love crowded w2w cities

Next update: asian homes.

Very nice cities there. One suggestion I have is to minmimize the menu when taking pictures, which looks a lot better.

You have some great images here - I really like the asian city - the pic with the Korean flag flowerbed has a wonderful atmospheric.
