BAT (Building Architect Tool) won't installing

I bought SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition from Origin (EA Store), and then installed it. When I downloaded BAT tool from SC4 Devotion site, it won't install. Error has appeared: "SimCity 4 Deluxe does not appear to be installed...". How I can solve this problem?

1. Did you install and activate gmax from the Turbo Squid site? BAT is a gmax game pack.
2. You may have to take a look at how the game was installed. The BAT installer is expecting to find certain entries in the registry and in the file structure.

The problem with new download sites is that they want to pee in the installation. This causes problems with other products.

1. If GMax never installed, BAT installer will say that GMax is not installed.

2. Looks I need to install retail version of SimCity 4 to get BAT installed?

Not necessarily. Is the game installed in a location other than C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe?

I am having the same issue and no the game automatically installs after download into above directory, and far as I can tell, can't be changed. I have tried everything I can think of and this is only one of two posts I can find. Any help would be awesome because I have so many ideas and can't begin because of this issue.

Has anyone found a workaround for this? I'm having the same problem. Maybe something that can be done through the registry or modify certain files. It seems like a problem that only a few people have, but I was hoping someone came up with a solution after so many years.
