Hello, I've just got a message "This file has been reported as broken because: map image not included in download." None map of mine has this image and nobody complained about it so far. Why is this so important to be in downloaded file, and is it something that downloaded folder MUST HAVE?

Just a thought; but it might have been reported broken by someone who is only used to working with greyscale maps. Maybe that is what they mean when saying "map image not included in download". The map works great for me at least...

All maps that I have downloaded and made are using .sc4m images. A greyscale image is not needed! Did a moderator take the "broken file" message down yet?

EDIT: Just checked. It is still there. I downloaded the map and it has everything that is needed! I wish people would read a tutorial on how to download a map before reporting it as broken :noway:

    Hello, All.

It is up to the author of the map as to whether or not a rendered map image is included in the upload.

The ONLY file that are required for a SimCity 4 created map is the grayscale image. The ONLY file that is required in a SC4Terraformer created map is the .SC4M file. It would be nice to include a config.bmp file but it is not required.

    I have locked this thread.
