Hi all,

My name is Ben, and I just registered on this site about 20 minutes ago. I've been a lifelong Sim City fan, and like many of you, have been wishing (fruitlessly) for a "next installment" to the series. In the meantime, I decided I'd get back into the swing of things with Sim City 4. In coming across this site, the thing that attracted me the most (aside from the very active forums) was the ST Exchange. Only one issue -- I foolishly can't seem to figure out which subfolders within my SC4 folder to place these downloads into? Or does it vary depending on the file type?

Sorry, realize this is is a pretty stupid question, but I'm really keen on getting back into SC4 and making some great, "fresh" cities with some of the excellent downloadable content from this site! Any help would be incredibly appreciated.

Best regards!

Ben

Hi Ben and welcome

Most of the things off the STEX (everything except maps) pretty much go into My documents/simcity4/plugins

Well I would like to welcome you to the communitity too. I would recommend checking out the omnibus as well for any further questions about batting if you want to get into that or creating lots as well as that you can find interviews with top simtropolis official talkign about there life and what there favourtie things about citiesxl or sc4 , either of them of course are good games and custom content could aslo be found there as well.

I would also insist on checking out the genreal rules page if your stuck on on rule or just need a mild review of what the guidelines are here.

    Hope that helps

Great, thank Josh! By the way, I couldn't help but notice that you are in Warwick, RI? Very strange -- I'm actually right down the road (in West Warwick). Small world!
