    Hi!!

I remember a long time ago, when I built one of my cities, a particularly large one, I left it on 3x speed and left for the theater to go see Step Brothers or something. When I came back (I kept the tooltips off), it was the year 2950 or something, and many of my buildings were very futuristic looking, as though Maxis had built-in futuristic skyscrapers for people who had reached that point in time. I have yet to have it happen since; then again, I haven't reached that point in time since.

Has anyone else noticed this before, or did I have mods or something I don't remember downloading?

    Jake

That's interesting since power plants and water towers/pumps degrade and stop working after 50-100 years. I am amazed how your city didn't implode while you were away. . . :whatevs:

Seriously, let your city running for around 900 game years?? I'm surprised you came back to a city tile that literally built itself. (and didn't burn to the ground with unattended fires)

You almost certainly had mods, because SC4 has seperate tilesets, and as far as I'm concerned, futuristic isn't one of them. You probably we're running the game with CAM, as well. This would allow more of a variety of buildings to grow, and would increase the growth stages of zones, allowing for larger/taller buildings.

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity
