Hello everyone!

At first something little bit about myself:

This is my first post on this forum although I've been lurking around here for quite a while already.

I've been playing SC4 occasionally pretty much since the release. Recently I dug it up again and had it reinstalled. Found these forums and was looking all the beautiful cities you guys have created. Before my goal was to create successful and wealthy cities but obviously it got boring. Never downloaded any custom content for the game so I thought why not and loaded up pretty much all asian themed buildings I could find and some terrain modifications too. Here I am going SC4 hardcore.

As for the city itself:

No cheats or anything used whatsoever. Towns are generating profit and running like they should without any cheating. NAM is being used. The whole city is completely fictionary, so are the names. I have no idea what they mean if anything but hopefully noone gets offended :D

I'm using amazing Liu zhou map by cwheatn. As stated before pretty much all asian buildings are in use from the site but I'd like to take time to especially thank Thianz for Tang Architecture Blocks. They are so handy and amazing so hopefully I'm not going to over use them. I'm also going to thank dogfight for terrain stuff he has contributed and Heblem for tropical flora pack. Not to forget everyone on this site for making, uploading this amazing stuff.

Thank you.

I guess that's all for introductions so I'm hoping you are having such a blast with this journal as I'm having writing it! Hopefully everything goes by the rules :uhm:

The Past

The town of Nin-Tao was a small fishing and farming village just about 100 years ago. Beautiful temples surrounded by forests and mountains enriched the landscape. Small communities were living in peace alongside of the Ryuken river, gathering their living from the water and soil.

On top of the mountain were living the wisest of monks of the area, studying and teaching the humble people living of the Ryuken river. By their ancient tradition, people of the village are retreating to mountains to meditate once a year to forget their worries and responsibilties.

The Ryuken river divides the region into two separate communities: Tao-Ryu and Tao-Ken.

For centuries have the people of the Nin-Tao lived this way. Gathering their source of life from farming and fishing. However, arrival of the foreign explorers will change the way of living, showing a new way of exploiting gifts of the ground, turning the tide of this once so peaceful and calm village by the quiet river....

    The modern days

Years have passed and modern technology has arrived to Nin-Tao. Many people still get their living from farming, although with arrival of modern gadgets life is now much easier than before. Small farming community of 3200 people called Tai-Nin is located just north from the Nin-Tao temple. These villagers still prefer old lifestyle, farming, fishing and prefer traditional religions. Tai-Nin is the agricultural center of the modern Nin-Tao. People of the region appreciate local food and visit Tai-Nin reguralry.

This is absolutely stunning again! The way everything fits together is amazing. Love the choice of style by the way, the Asian theme is really well done. 4.gif

By the way, for some constructive criticism I think you should look into getting the SAM mod. It can replace regular streets with different looking ones to give your City Journal some more realism.

By the way, fantastic update. Hope to see more soon!

    - Cheers! 9.gif
