Very impressing, I like it. The small town feeling I love it. Maybe put a few old CP buildings in there from the LEX to have an older feeling. And one thing, before you decide to sprawl your forest or if you haven't already, download this, https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2685 It will make your city look really good in the fall and summer. I recommend that after you download this, please plop these trees only on September 25, whatever year you are on, they really will look great on lots and forests. I love the growth though.

    OIL

OILhas been found in the praries west of Alcesia. Environmentalists and Capitalists butt heads in major cities down the coast. The question?

    Should we Drill? Vote Now.

(Hint: Drilling= more growth, more fun)

Screw the environment, be more like FOX news, being green is terrible, killing people is THE best idea in the world, as long as it's for weapons or oil or anything else :D

Lets make this place RICH!! and spend it all on useless and pointless assets that offer no return :read:

Zulu2065- Thanks for the suggestions. I have all of CP's houses. I don't really care for seasonal trees, plus they take up very valuable resources 4 times a year.

Roger51- Thanks! I think the one-ways will stay, at least for the short term. Perhaps once traffic increases, the right oneway to third street will be made diagonal, but that would be down the line.

    Eaton County Drills for Oil!

Eaton County has indeed decided to sell leases for drilling in the western praries. So today we'll look at the new Oil Port and some developments around the Town.

An Overview! The New Oil Port is just past the upper right corner of this photo.

Some pics of the Oil Port:

To handle all the new residents moving to Alcesia, The Earcester and North Railways have built a spur to Alcesia off the main Coastal Line. Also on this spur is the filling station for the Oil Port.

This is Fincham Street Station, the only Passenger Terminal in Alcesia as of now:

Down Fincham Street is the new Fincham St Park.

Downtown Commercial Development creeps west along Fourth St.

Whew, that was a big update, eh? Anyways, thanks for stopping by!

Amazing update. The oil is realistic and I see you are slowly creating a skyline in your city. I love it. For the trees, they don't take up much at all, they help with decoration and since they are mayor mode small tool trees, they are not props, they just add a realism effect, but that's fine. I love the improvements. :thumb:

Thank you everyone for your comments! They really do mean a lot!

Now, I know what you must be thinking "Oh boy, here we go again!" But I warned you about how I get bored with cities. And Alcesia just was stuck. It was going nowhere. But Thanks for your support, everyone!

    Now, on to Sunderland.

I love this new idea, and don't worry, I get bored with cities too. Hopefully won't get bored with my 7 month city plan. I can't wait to see what you'll do next.

Hey everyone! Quick update on the work i got done on this long weekend, besides my Anatomy paper...

    First, Replies!

Zulu: Thanks... I just feel like Alcesia was a letdown because I wanted to do a whole big thing, but it just didn't happen... Ohwell :/

Benedict: Thanks! I have a slightly closer view today!

    10000000000000: Thanks!

Sunderland is looking a bit more complete now, still not 100% though, But I thought I should show you guys a pic anyway.

This is Lincoln Heights, a neighborhood in the northeast part of Sunderland City.

    teaser3.jpg

And this is an updated, closer region view. Maybe you can make some more stuff out from this level.

    regionteaser.jpg

Progress is slow going at this point, and I can't promise a timeline as of yet, but the Financial center is probably at 90% and Downtown is like 85%, so hopefully soon!

    Thanks for stopping by!

The Valley of the Shadow of Uncertainty!

Thank you everyone for the comments!

I've had a bit of writer's block tonight: I cannot decide what to d owith the yellow outlined valley below... I'm leaning toward mixed use industrial/ residential and slight commercial like the orange outlined area, but I want to know what you guys think.

    question.jpg

This is also a peek at the new neighborhood on the heights there.

Your feedback is super important guys!

I like your idea - More specifically, I think the residential should be on or near the rim of the valley, the commercial on the upper slopes, and the industrial in the center. :golly:

Hey Everyone. Thanks for your comments!

Unfortunately that valley is still mostly empty, but I have a road network set up, and am leaning towards a primarily residential setup, with pockets of parks and industry.

Now, I've been playing with the DBE and have made this:

    unledxb.jpg

It is in the borough of Ipswitch, located in the eastern part of Sunderland City. Boroughs will be areas of either townships or cities that have a significant town center or are partially autonomous. Boroughs in cities are not autonomous, but have a special place on city council next to other neighborhoods, but those in townships are mostly independent. They are similar to a CDP or Census Designated Place, but with more government recognition.

    Thanks for stopping by!
