I really need help!

Hi, I started with a new large city using the stuff i just downloaded from the NAM and some airport proprs and lots. It has been running normally, but suddenly, this started happened with my city (picture attached to this post).

Yes, the whole city has a high level of Air pollution (not only industrial zone, which is normal), it looks as an enviroment nighmare and surely this will affect city develop. It was first yellow after orange and now the whole city is red due that horrible pollution.

I really need help please, or also if someone could tell me where can I find a GOOD pollution mod to reduce that awful pollution.

Out of topic: I would like to know also please, where can i get tram roundabouts and avenue tram curve section, I only have the straight sections that I got from NAM at SC4 devotion.

Wow.... I do recall seeing "evil" lots on the STEX a while back. I don't remember who created them or what they are called, but it is a set of lots that have the sole purpose of generating mass amounts of "evil" things such as air pollution, water pollution, and radiation. Did you download one of these by any chance?

Hey. Not sure what is causing your air pollution to skyrocket, but it sounds like one of your new plugins is jacking it up intentionally. I'd remove some of them and try to see which is the culprit.

As for air pollution, in my very large cities I started to get annoyed at constant air pollution from motor vehicles and installed this BAT: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/321-air-purification-plant ---- it's pretty good, though I tweaked mine to be more expensive from month to month (right now it's a bit unrealistically cheap, worth changing).

Yeah, that's evil. i tried with some mods and with the Air purifer, but it didn't work. Anyways I started buiding a new city that is looking even better.

Sim city 4 is weird sometimes, uh, to tell you the truth IDK what to tell you, is the city very large, NAM can fit a very large amount of cars, which causes air pollution, I've been playing SC4 for years, so the best recommendation... if you don't want high air pollution is to delete NAM, but then again it could be something else, take a pic of the entire city tile and I may be able to help,

I can't say I've ever experienced this (I don't use pollution reduction lots), but I've read where deleting a pollution reduction lot from the game will cause the drastic increase in pollution. Kind of like all that pollution that was removed comes storming back after the lot is removed. Don't know if you had used such a lot, but thought I would offer up the thought...

If you mean something like this...

...the pieces that are used to build it are under the Tram-on-Road icon in the Misc Transportation menu.

If you mean this...

..they are under the Avenue Intersections icon in the Roads menu.

For these and other NAM pieces, you need to select the desired icon and use Tab to cycle through the various pieces.

This can sound really extrange, but my city was empty, it didn't had population, so no traffic, only it had few high-tech and dirty industries, I was foccusing in building gret avenues and a good transportation system, but suddenly it sarted to get really polluted. Anyways, as i said before, I started building a new city that looks to be much better than the old one, I only hope that I do'y have the heavy pollution problem in the future. Thanks everybody.

And CaptCity...THANKS SOO MUCH; I didn't know about those amazing NAM tools if you press the TAB, now I see whhy the tools and other such us the road-rail overpass didn't appeared, now I can do a nice tram line!

6 years ago someone had the same problem with air pollution.

EDIT: I thought that there were cheats which disables the air pollution, I thought it was one of those cheats you can get of .dll files. I don't use cheats so I can't help you with that but maybe someone else knows what cheat it is.

I had the same problem. A grownable home ruined my cities when get destroyed or replaced. Remove your custom made grownable buildings and install them one by one. This is how I found my problem.

It is not worth it. You will need NAM for several things anyway. NAM doesn't do that because if you used regular roads, the same amount of people would travel around the city.
