I've been working on some new projects, while mostly showing my work at SC4D, but thought it was an opportune time to start a new, fresh thread here to show some work and get fresh opinions from the Simtropolis community. I've started two new aircraft series, at the same time finishing the 'Airbus Project' (A300, A310, A330 and A340), which is in the final stages - I am preparing the A340 for release.

First the Airbus A320 Family. Though these have already been BATted by Voltaire of the AC Team, he left out a lot of airlines, particularly ones from my part of the world (New Zealand - so Asia-Pacific). The goal is to complement, not replace, Voltaire's set. I have made several liveries already, but here is a small selection:

I plan to release these in regional packs, basically Asia-Pacific, Europe, and The Americas, to make it more manageable, and so you don't have to download some liveries from the other side of the world to your region, thus saving your bandwidth and reducing the excess filesize in your plugins.

I've also started work on a new set of regional jets: The Embraer E-Jets. Here is a selection of the liveries on those models:

Lovely very good. I only would point out one thing, why, at the night render, the cop-pit is not lighted? do pilots fly on dark? Just wondering. besides that, they look very good, keep up

I've never really stopped to question that myself actually - I mostly followed in the style of other aircraft BATters (eg Voltaire and Pilotdaryl). I guess there is less lighting in the cockpit for the same reason you don't drive with the car's interior light on, so objects outside are easier to see, with less glare on the glass. I'll need to look at more pictures, and I'll post what I find.

In case you take suggestions, I've notice a total lack of Spanish airlines in your packs. Iberia, Spanair and Vueling have a majority of A320-200 in their fleets, I think it's a good oportunity to include them in an hypothetical A320 European pack.

This set looks nice. I like the small jets too. And thanks for my Delta request, I also like the first jet. I also wonder, are you making planes like the MD-88. That plane was pretty common at airports and I've been on it 3 times?

Yes, the effect is intended to be of floodlighting from the terminal building onto the ramp area for night operations.

Thanks Zulu, I do have a MD-80 model on file, left over from a project Pilotdaryl (who is no longer active) started a few years ago. While I don't have any plans to work on it soon, perhaps another member will pick up the project, and I'll certainly be happy to provide the Delta livery. As for the 737-200, probably not as likely, sorry.

These are some good looking planes. I love that Iberia A340-600. I can't wait to download these. I'm also so glad you are adding Delta to all or most of these beautiful jets. My only other suggestion is to add a blue and white US Airways coat also. That would be nice.

One suggestion i do have(Although I am aware that it isn't a airbus carrier) is Allegiant Air(Which at one time had it's HQ in Fresno).

So as a general update to my projects, if you've been following on SC4D, or even if you haven't, you'll have noticed that I released Airbus A330 packages a few weeks ago. Naturally the next installment would be the A340. Just today I've been rendering some of the A340-500, and I expect to release the A340 MMP package either this weekend or next (time permitting). I've been working on a couple of other things, mostly for my own use at this stage, which I expect to make into publicly releasable forms soon. You may remember Pilotdaryl's 777 project - well it involves that aircraft...

Pilotdaryl also left the team an unfinished MD-80 model, so at the request of people in this thread, as well as a mention of the MD-90 in the SUYA (Show Us Your Airport) thread, I have decided to put that project back into action, but I think I will leave it to be lead one of the other members. Delta Airlines and American Airlines liveries are in progress. I can show pictures if you promise not to get upset if it's still a long time until release (same applies for the 777).

Here, then, is a picture of how the MD-80 will look. Obviously this is preliminary, and other team members are working on liveries, but I don't expect this project to reach completion in the near-term.

Also, I'm interested in your opinion on the lotting, I have put the E-175 on the gate textures from the CRJ, as I considered, size-wise, they are more similar to that category. I put the E-190 on the 737/A320 gate texture, seeing as it is a similar size to the smallest models of those planes. Do you think it's sensible to split them like this?

As for the 767, in reply to dchotzen-hartzell19, Unfortunately Adrian was working on the finish of this project, so I am unsure. As it was developed from a Flight-Sim model the BAT wasn't the best for SC4, and I am considering BATting a new 767 project, but for now it is on hold until further notice, essentially. Sorry for the disappointment.

Thanks for the other comments! I have releases coming soon, hopefully the STEX will accept uploads soon so that I can release the first set of A320s (Asia-Pacific region) and a few others that I have up my sleeve).
