Look on the STEX. I don't have the link, but there is a mod titled "No More Wren Insurance".

Erm... if I may quote the thread starter:

i know theirs a mod called go away wren but it dosent take wren out only reduces the reputation of it which i do not want i want it gone completely theirs got to be a mod

Nope, such a mod has not been made yet. However, you can make one for yourself rather easily with the Lot Editor tool. Simply search for all lots with Wren Insurance on them, and change their minimum / maximum slope values in a way that the minimum slope is bigger than the maximum slope. For example, minimum slope = 20, maximum slope = 10. This will keep the lot from growing.

I think the correct way would be to make new BATs featuring the same footprint, and somehow (but not very much) similar look and include them in the Maxis families, so that they can grow in the Maxis lots (many stages and lot dimensions). I have started making some BATs, currently for much smaller buildings though. Just like Wren, Chalmers Co and Modde Inc are "pests" too, growing all over the place, in all four tilesets; you are going to get a large number of both buildings, before you are able to grow something bigger. You can see my work so far in my thread on SC4D, under the BSC Creations board. (sorry, no link, but the site is currently down).

Unless you are building a CJ, why should you really care what grows in the city. As long as the lots are active, they will eventually be replaced.

The point is that players often complain about getting repetitive buildings. And this is not for no reason, some buildings grow much more than others because they offer the greatest number of jobs in their growth stage and lot size. The simulator often has not simply "few" but instead only one choice. Chalmers may grow in no fewer than 11, yes 11 lots (I may even be missing some), ranging from 4x3 stage-2 to 2x2 stage-5. And it's fair to say that Maxis has actually done an excellent job here: stage transitions are smoother and more gradual; (only the building collection is poor). Trying to somehow "disable" such lots, esp those that grow more often, may leave "gaps" in stage transitions, sometimes resulting in the simulator not being in position to grow anything (unless demand gets maxed-out, causing an sudden stage transition and development). That is growth becomes choppy and abrupt. So I would insist in my initial proposal, which is to expand the building collection, esp the families growing too often, like Chalmers Co, Modde Inc, and (yes) Wren.
