So I downloaded and imported the Oahu region from the STEX here ( http://www.simtropol...-oahu-to-scale/ ) but there's a graphical glitch where each city tile is slightly raised in the region view. Here's a screenshot:

Anyone know what causes it and how to fix it? I'm running SC4 Deluxe with a GeForce 460 GTX. I'm not running any plugins would mess with terrain generation.

This is caused by rendering regions at high resolutions. It does not cause any negative effect in game function, but only affects the region view image. To try to get rid of the issue, lower your resolution to something below 1600x1200. Then enter and save each affected city. After that, try the original resolution. If the issue returns, you may need to re-render the region at a lower resolution.

If I just drop the resolution, re-render (Its 192 city tiles, I'm NOT gonna load and save each one by hand), and then change the resolution back, will each city I play end up getting messed up unless I drop the resolution before saving?

Is there a permanent fix to this?

Didn't realize there were so many cities. Yes, re-rendering at a lower resolution then changing to a higher should be fine.

I found out how to force a resolution that the game doesn't natively offer (1680x1050) and then re-rendered and it came out fine.

I knew I should have Googled it first.

Hello, I'm getting the same problem as this guy, the resolution is currently on 1600x1200, but whenever I try to change resolution it tells me to restart the game to get into effect. I restart the game, and it is always still on the 1600x1200 resolution. I can't seem to change the resolution no matter what I do. Is this a known problem?

In the properties of the game "shortcut", there is the path target, after the quotations marks add a space then add the tag,

    -CustomResolution:enabled -r1280x960

Substitute the resolution you want to use.
