I get this Error Code when I try to download anything.

[#10863] You may not download any more files until your other downloads are complete

The Problem is - there is no other download. I have already reseted my router, log-in/log-off, different browser... but I still get this message... :<

Any adivse?

Is your computer in a shared network like a school or library? If so someone else on that network could also be downloading. As long as they are downloading you cant.

No, this is my personal network at home. I'm the only one using this site. I've created a new Account (crayven1) and with this acc it is possible to download things. It is a temporarily solution but I wonder why I can't use my normal account?

Maybe the DB has flagged me as 'downloading' and forgot to remove this flag at the end of my last download...

What is your "normal" account? Maybe we can trace things from that end.

My normal account is my posting account -> "Crayven"

Today I made a new one called "Crayven1" to see if i could download with that - and it worked.

Now I tested something - after login and logout with Crayven1 I logged in with Crayven to try downloading - and it worked, too. I'm now a little curious if this will happen again.

I dont have any active downloads. The thing about it is usually I can download 5 files simultaneously, then afterwards it warns me that I cannot download unless all my other downloads are complete, that brings my simultaneous download to 4, then a few downloads later, the same warning message appears, bringing down my simultaneous down again until it reaches to a point where it warns me that I cannot down unless I finish my current downloads even though I dont have any ACTIVE DOWNLOADS.

I don't think it is this site. Let's make a couple of tests:

1. What happens if you close your browser? Can you download after re-opening it?
2. What happens if you boot your machine? Same subquestion.
3. Check your contract with your ISP for limitations on downloads.

What did you find?

hmm . . . you are limited to 5 downloads at a time but it should reduce your count as the downloads finish. I'll check into it.

I wasn't aware of that, but then I have a policy of one at a time, then test, test, test. Grabbing several plugins is fraught with danger if you don't test each one separately when you install it.

I'm also experiencing this problem, using IE on windows 7 on brand new computer. It started letting me do a few files and then eventually kept dwindling down to the point where now I have no files downloading and I get this error message. I tried reseting my router, my modem, my computer, deleting all internet files - history, cookies, etc... and still not working. I've logged out of site and relogged back in, also did the delete my cookies on the site as well. I'm at a loss of how to fix.

I'm using firefox, and I was downloading a bunch of stuff and the download window froze or something, so I tried restarting and tried to re-download what I was trying to get, but I keep getting that error...

is there any way to fix this?

The download window (for firefox) has nothing in it, I stopped the downloads that were there

You can only download 5 things at a time. once one of thoose 5 is competly done you can start another.

I am getting the same error. I am able to download one file then after my download is complete and then try to download another file the error shows.

this just happened to me too, never had any problems before, but it happens, and i've tried all the aforementioned troubleshooting steps to no avail.. i'll try to download again at a later time to see if it resolved by itself.. =(

I downloaded a total of three items and now i'm stuck with this

Try closing all tabs and your browser. Then restart and see if it is still there. If so, try a reboot.

Please report your results.

All I can think of is download limits that some ISPs have. For example, HughesNet limits you to 225mb of downloads a day, except for between the hours of 2am-6am.

However, I don't think this is the case. :|

I get the same error. Simply, it is not my computer, my browser, or my network. I am using dial-up. That's not the problem, it is what it is. I have had this problem with different download programs. I have logged out and rebooted only to find the same message "You may not download any more files until your other downloads are complete". I don't use the browser download function as it stops at 2.5MB with an incomplete download. Rather, I use DLManager which is more resilient to errors. I get one download a day.
