Post your Ideas on the fish Hatchery Project Tell me what you think and what you would like to see.

 

I will be making my own textures soon for the lot as well as a UI file.

I will also be adding jobs to the lot.

 

Below you will find a pic of my lot as it currently is.

Here is a suggestion ... take a look at the CSX BAT Prop Packs ... there is a LOW steelshed that will look better than that gazebo ... also check out for the CSX Wire Fences ... that will also give the lot more realism ... here in my country these hatching ponds are fenced with electrified fences to keep rogues and vermin out ...

We should ask a batter to make you some ponds ... these replicated textures looks very artificial.

I have some water textures that I plan on adding...

 

Actually while I am here I will Post them ...

 

     

 

here are some exapmples of Textures I want to use. The bays are pretty much exactly what they look like. Except they are concreat and not the red brick.

 

I will look for other props. I need props for SC4 Standard as at this time I do not have RH. I plan on getting it but at the moment I can not get it. I hope to have it by September.

Thanks for the comments. I can't use bat props right now but thanks for the advise. I'll see what I can find in the line of fences. The fish Hatchery does not have electrified fences. It just has a normal fence. I might post a pic of the place if I can find a better pic  of it.

Yes this is an original Idea as all the other lots I have tried to do have been done allready.

Whoohoo!! This looks great! Not only original, but it'll add that realistic touch to many cities. I'd follow Vlakhaas' advice with the gazebo...its a tad out of place.

You may want to add the nets that go over the ponds to keep the birds out. Every fish hatchery I've been to has them.

looks Nice Except it take away what the place actually looks like. BTW: Our Hatchery Doesn't have nets.

 

I am working on a new lot right now Should be done in the next day or two. I have found some Chain link Fence for the lot also.

This is what I have so far for  Version2...

 

I am trying to keep it as Authentic as I can possably do. It is a landMark in Grayling. I am going to have a Request soon for a building for the lot If someone can make it for you  to add to it.

 

Also If you have a barn that looks nice post them here and I will let you know which one I like.

 

I don't mind the changes other than it looks a bit cluttered to me. It does look nice but I would like to keep it Authentic. Where I live we only have one of these places and my kids love it...LOL

 

thanks to all of you for your suggestions. BTW: even if this place does not have nets it would be ok to add them.

 

BTW: The River I put in is Called the Ausable River .The Hatchery is suppose to empty out into the River for Fresh Water.

 

this is only Stage one of the project as I study the pics more I will be adding more to it. I think the water in the bays need to be darker thats why I wanted to make a new Texture for it. would look more authentic. DM is suppose to have his porgram Ready for me soon.

 

I will send Granpa Al info for the UI file soon as well as the info for the menu text. If there is a way to add a picture to it I Would like to add one.

Another Pic of how far I have gotton today with this lot. It was suppose to have a park but I am going to have to put that as a seperate lot. that should be placed right next to the river. This lot is allready as large as I dare make it. Like some of my other lots this is a huge one. I guess I am a stickler for detail. LOL..

 

Well comments please would be appreciated. Its been a long day and I still have to finish this lot.

Comparing the photo earlier in the thread and the LE/in-game shots, the scale looks a bit off. In the photo (with the girl fishing) the tanks look to be about 5-6metres wide (Im not sure what that is in feet), whereas in the Lot you've got the tanks a tile wide (16 metres). The same goes for the grassed areas between the tanks. Is this intentional (I know it's easier to work with complete tiles in the LE 'cos of the textures)?

Yes this is done intentionally. for the moment. Soon as I can I am going to make a new Texture for the tanks that should shrink the lot. I am waiting on a program upgrade that I hope will be done soon. I will not release it untill I have the new texture done. This lot has turned out huge now as it is. I have a few other things that need to be done as well.

 

It is easier for me right now to use one tile for the tanks. When I have the new texture done it will not take up so much room. I wanted to incorporate the park area but its huge enough right now.

 

 

I will be posting another pic of a building that  I hope A Bat user can make for me.

here are my two new water textures thanks to Peg for Permission to use his texture.

I need some help though I got this far but I can figure out how to get any farther I need help getting them into a Dat file the Tutorial says something about making the TGI file. I don't know how to do that. Any help would be appreciated. These tiles will enable me to make the lot smaller.

When I first saw your hatchery and then the real picture made me think of the one in Thompson Michigan west of Manistique where I'm originally from. Your hatchery verison 2 is about as realistic as the Grayling and the one in Thompson . I like what I see great work. Hope this helps you.

Thank you very much. I was going for realistic. Yes this does help me and I did not know we had another one here in michigan. I have only been to this one. We have relatives who have a cottage in Rosscommon So we only get to travel around grayling and Rosscommon. Thanks for the input I really Really appreciate it.

Good morning or afternoon to all you,

 

I have decided to release this Fish Hatchery as 3 lots a pack so to speak. To do the whole place as I want to would make the lot so big no one would want to use it. I am going to post some more pics of the place sometime today and a general idea as to how I want to do this lot.

 

1st off..

 

This place has a total of 11 bays and a kids fishing ponds. so I will release it as follows

 

1. A smaller lot with the 5 or 6 smaller bays

2. A little larger lot with the remaining bays which are longer.

3. the kids fishing ponds.

 

that will be 3 lots as a Miller Fish Pond Pack.

 

Someone let me know what you think of this idea as I said I am going to make one large lot to start and post it here giving you all the idea as to just how big this place is and its new Modifications.

ok as I said I would do here a picture of the perposed Fish Hatchery. Broken down into 3 possably 4 lots. Which will be released as a pack.
