If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 and you cannot install the update:

- Right mouse click Patch_1.5.0.723_1.5.0.725.exe application file and click Run as administrator.

According to Focus release notes, Vista and 7 cant use the Patch. Why is this as my i use 7 and have 64Bit version as i am sure others have.

Will Focus be releasing a version for us, i mean we must be a very small community who use the latest version of windows!!!!

This ridiculous and my attention to this game as been somewhat waning and now i think i may as well give up the whole idea of even playing this game anymore, talk about being ripped off!!

Focus, you no better than the other mob who owned it!!

I didn't realize there was a patch til you posted this.. however I am running win7 64bit and it installed just fine. I just clicked "run as administrator" and it worked fine.

It works fine on Win7 64, ignore the release notes. If you run into trouble, run as administrator. If that doesn't work, turn off UAC (I always turn it off as soon as I install Windows because it screws with a lot of programs).

For whatever its worth, I always have to run as "administrator" when downloading patches and updates....thanks to GlobexCo who gave me the tips on how to do so.....and everything seems to work fine now but I needed to reload some patches and paks after the upgrade which seemed to overwrite some items...

P.S. -- I have been playing the game a few hours a week since the holidays and have had no crashes or glitches...each box may react a little different based on your individual specs. A couple of tips that seem to work for me personally: I create multiple "save" points about every fifteen to twenty minutes in addition to the new autosave updates...and it has helped many times as I'll try something only to find that it needed to be re-thought as I continue to learn the game...

And thanks to the "in-game memory dumping" (or whatever the correct term is), I'll play a couple of hours and jump out of the game altogether...sometimes re-opening the game resolves the sluggish running or a simple reboot always helps...

Again, this has helped my enjoyment of the game much more than all of the random crashes....keep experimenting with your settings and be patient with the software guys at Focus...sounds like they bought into a much bigger mess than what was portrayed to them...(never had that happen to me in my business....yeah, right..!)

Just remember, this game sucks alotta resources from your box because of the 3D video intensity.....but then, so does "Madden Football" and "Call of Duty", etc...probably much more than the other games...can anybody confirm or deny this?

The game is more limited by the CPU than the CG. Too many i would say...

The CG wait the most part of the time that the CPU give her some image to process.
