    WELCOME TO PAGE TWO!!!

To celebrate getting over 4,000,000 people in this region, I am going to update with two new beautiful cities - New Rotterdam and New Portland.

New Rotterdam is an old city built on a mountainous ridge next to Lake Griffin - think terrace houses in the sky and you'll see the hill. However, to break this bit of imagination, here are the pics:

This first one is of MidCity, the hilly CBD:

    newrotterdamjul11611257980761l.jpg

Now, here's North City, the classiest area:

    newrotterdamjul11611257980945n.jpg

Next is the coast along Lake Griffin:

    newrotterdamjul11611257981110d.jpg

And lastly, here's Crater Lake behind the mountain:

    newrotterdamjul11611257981301u.jpg

Now we move on to New Portland. You will recognize the map as that of the Big City Tutorial, but just slightly bigger. Firstly, here's the full overview:

    newportlandjul25411257982207gm.jpg

    Next, the CBD:

    newportlandjul25411257982398ce.jpg

And now, the suburb of Clarkton, one of the classiest:

    newportlandjul25411257982616uz.jpg

And lastly, here's an overview of it a few months later:

    newportlandnov165511257985153l.jpg

Hope you enjoy this update and PLEASE comment, I'd really like some feedback.
    Cheers

Nice highrise town. You use the brick street mod ... I don't like it too much but that's my personal taste ... But you really should consider BRF tunnel and slope mod for further developement as your traffic network loks abit bumpy - the mod is as drastical as painful in the beginning but after a while it really pays off!

    Nevertheless: Good work!

Well, the region existed as an industrial wasteland about a year ago, but I fixed up New Miami about eight months ago and when I found out about Simtrop, the mods I installed made the region go like boom. Until I started this CJ, it was actually called New Region 4. Now, I'm getting very close to completely filling up the map

Okay, here's some updated region views.
Lake Griffin is now a popular tourist resort. Its shores are sunny and contain European style hill/coastal cities such as New Rotterdam and also Cuban-style resorts such as New Nassau. Also, Margera and Joanna Island have become densly inhabited. And finally, New Seattle ended up just being a filler city that looks reasonably pretty. However, its main highlight is Eagle Island Military Compound, in the centre of Lake Griffin.
Here is a picture of the area:
    newhague11261618942uk.jpg
And a detailing of what is what:
    newhague11261618946kw.jpg
Sorry it's a bit crude, I don't have photoshop and I'm not that great with paint.
Now, we move on to the not-so-rugged north. I have already shown a pic but it has grown and expanded since then. In the upper left corner you can see the edge of the dykes and skyscrapers of New Tampa. You will just be able to see Sylvian Park, which I showed earlier and the area has undergone some renovations:
    newhague11261619057ci.jpg
Also, just some proof of where I am with the New Hague:
    newhague11261619231xf.jpg
Enjoy the update, I just LOVE doing the region and this CJ, it is so much fun

Hello again. I've just recently got the hole-digger mod and I just thought I might share my first creations with it:

That's New Pretoria, an all-commercial, small-tile city. Enjoy!

    Thanks for your comments.
Compromise - Thanks for your feedback, but how is the update unnecessary? I'm quite new still and I would like to know in what ways it is unnecessary, because it IS a new city that I am quite proud of and I am just trying to keep this CJ going. However, that said, your comments were appreciated, just please tell me WHAT I am doing wrong.

That sunken railway looks good. I also like how you put two of those water twoers together as a kind of arch.

    Great work!

I was reffering to earlier double posts just hours apart with at least one post adding basically nothing to later/earlier post. This can be classed as fausley boosting post count.

To my awareness there is one double post on the first page which was an accident and I cannot get rid of it. I build my cities very quickly (like, maybe one or two cities per day) and the particularly good ones I like to put up here, not all of them. I am not trying to falsely boost the post count, why on earth would I want to do that? EDIT: Also, I think there was some confusion in you reffering to the update, not the entire journal. Please reword in future

Everyone else, thank you for your comments

Hello, New Seattle has advanced since when I mentioned it before. Not perfect yet, but I quite like it.

Here are some pictures. The first is Midtown, the hilly central distict stretching from the Eastern Valley to Lake Griffin Coast:
    newseattlefeb241711267611819wd.jpg
This next picture is of North New Seattle, a sattelite city because of the fact that Lake Griffin is unbridgable and the two sections of the city are somewhat seperate:
    newseattlefeb241711267611299pq.jpg
And lastly, here is Eagle Island Military Compound. It is a volcano island with naval bases, a missile launch, a maximum security prison, Area 5.1 and how could I forget the military base!

Hello, just two pics today. I have created a lovely little commercial city, New Sacramento, which features a hill regional park in the hills, a palm-lined Mall and a lot of lovely old architecture.

This first picture is a full scope with the radio tower and park:
    newsacramentojul60511269031739.jpg
Now, here's Palm Mall to the north of the hill:
    newsacramentojul60511269032005.jpg

By the way, you will notice that I got rid of the brick street mod - a bit too much.
