I see them all time in my area. In fact, we have a nesting pair on our 40 acres. Ever since they showed up about 15 years ago, the rabbits have high-tailed outta here. They're fun to watch when they hunt, especially when they catch fish.

We have a few Bald Eagles, some Turkey Buzzards, and Peregrine Falcons here. There is at least one pair of eagles nesting on the Huronia cliffs, the buzzards can be seen on almost any fence. We also have a lot of red-tailed hawks and owls of many varieties. There is a good general ecology in our woodlands, and we guard it pretty jealously.

I've no idea where the Peregrines nest, but there are lots of high trees. Beautiful, and you can see them by walking down some roads.

The Eagle Cam is a great idea. I just popped over there, but of course it is dark right now.

I wish there are bald eagles where I live... The only birds I have seen so far are Seagulls, Hawks, Canadian Geese, Ducks, Blackbirds, Crows, Pigeons (rats with wings) but no Bald Eagles anywhere..

If pigs had wings they'd be pigeons. Seagulls replace rats in the ecology, so consider the alternative.

Just looked in. They really are noble birds. Nest seems to be in a tall pine.

3rd egg hatched yesterday.

mabey we can send Meg out to get some pictures.

Think she is closest to Norfolk VA.

I lived there till i was 8.

The 3 chicks are geting pretty big. The mom can almost not cover them up anymore.

As much as I love eagles, I was surprised to find out they don't make that long, drawn out scream. Eagles do more of a chirp, and apparently it's the Red-Tailed Hawk that makes the scream..

I heard one of them screeching in it.

A note to those that go looking for the Outdoor channels cam: the nest is now empty, there was an intruder eagle

that kept both parents always defending the nest and the chicks starved.

Truly too bad, but that's nature. I guess the adults were not strong enough to drive the other bird off. It is sad, but it is natural selection. Naturalists must have an awful time under these circumstances, but must not intervene.

Sad News.The female adult was killed by a landing plane.

Just looked in on the empty nest. I hope the eaglets have fledged and gone.

The eaglets are now in the hands of the Wildlife Center of Virginia, in Wanyesboro VA.

they were not very close to fledging or i think they would have left them in the nest.

they were just now eating by them selves.
