NAM Cars

hey all im new here but i noticed someone posting that nam names cars etc stay on the road longer, dus that mean my cars wont disappear lol, if so how do i do that... could there ever be a mod maybe a next version of name where you can see people getting in and out of the cars etc...

part of the nam will make traffic more persistent though the 24 hour day

maxis made the game so the most cars can be seen at 8 oclock in the morning going to work and 5 o clock at night going home to simulate rush hour.during the rest of the time the traffic pretty much just moves around. the traffic disappears when it arrives where it needs to go, the system is recalculating, or the max car render limit has been reached.

There were some mods around which made the traffic persistent, but i don't have the link. But yes, the NAM made the cars persistent, the only thing in which I still have not heard of (and are having some persistent problems) was the buses.

ah thanks for your help i installed the nam but after i done the settings i loaded my game aswell as start a new one it sed something like it could load it or something im using sim city 4 deluxe, but mines is portable which shudnt matter i dont think as it installs in sim city 4 documents in my documents which.... any help or what i might have done wrong would be nice...btw there was 4 24 hour settings i just ticked the first one,....

Do mean the game will not run after installing NAM?

I'm using sim city 4 deluxe, but mines is portable which shudnt matter i dont think as it installs in sim city 4 documents in my documents which.... any help or what i might have done wrong would be nice...

Is there a folder in the C:\Documents and Settings\*UserName*\My Documents\SimCity 4 named Plugins (this is the WinXp path)? Not sure what you mean when you say 'portable.' Did you install the game using the default installation or did you change the file paths?

Yes, these determine when and how many vehicles appear on the roads. The first one will show the standard number of the default game.

Yes my location for nam is C:\Documents and Settings\Fm10\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\Network Addon Mod

and my game loads up but i load my city and i get something like an error i think syaing plugin pack 977404677, i can still continue with my city tho.

and i mean portable is that someone had the full game but just made it portable so i dont install it and can shove it on a mem card or port hd

and as for the 24hour thing my cars still disappear, i want it so cars dont disappear ever few seconds and like the same car am looking at stays on the road longer...
