Ive been working on this for a while now and I thought I might as well share it.

My region takes place in Pennslyvania right where Allentown and Easton would be.

Gather round', heres a breif History.

A long time ago, William Penn and his buddies made their way to North America. One of the men in Willy's envoy was a

guy named Richard Ani, who was Penn's right hand man. They landed in what is now Philadelphia. But something bad happened. Willy and Richy forgot their Quaker ways and got into a fight over the most beautiful women in the camp- Victoria. Punches were thrown. Tables were flown. Finally Richard exclaimed, "Screweth Thee!" (ACTUAL QUOTE) and stormed out taking a couple boats, 100 of his followers, and Victoria with him. He made his way up the river and landed on the land that is now Mane Island and met the locals. Richard origanally named it Victoria but she was snotty and nobody liked her. So because there were alot of animals around, and Richards last name was Ani, they named it Animaltown. The name stuck.

So this is how its gonna go,

Because my city's already about halfway done, Ill show a completed section then something I'm working on at the moment.

First off, Ill start with Mane Island.

To all the Starwars fans out there, if Animaltown was the Galaxy, this would be the core. The core is made of many planets.

If the Districts of Mane Island were planets, The financial District would be Coruscant.

The first City. The place where the city hall is.

It all started here.

So thats where I'll start.

The Financial District is one of Animaltowns 4 large commercial Districts. It holds the Iconic Skyline of a skyscraper dominated city. Its most prominate building is the Animaltown Trade Towers. Built the same time as Newyork's

 

A look at city hall where the 3rd term Mayor Chester Ralph attends to the 16 million plus residents of AT.

Also you can catch a hockey game, or a great concert at the old but great K&K Stadium.

 

Ani Bridge is the main artery of transit into Mane Island. It carries with it Subway Lines, Regional Rail, and the Airtram to Victoria Airtport. (I'll get into that later)

I was inspired by Lucky's work on his Cj and a trip up to Newyork.

Financial District Part II

The final part of our tour of the Financial District

Another cluster of skyscrapers that dot the city along Market Street.

The row of Buildings is a well known sight and lines the South border to Ani Park.

A way to get in and out of the city fast is to use South Heliport.

Im now working on a ferry terminal for the Financial District. I just have to find and maybe lot the facilities for it.

So lets go East down the river to Birdtown. Its has the largest concentration of Skyscrapers in Animaltown and is one of my personal favourite sections of the city. My goal with this and the rest of my city is to avoid repitition of skyscrapers.

The part of the city I've been working on now is Jefferson Height, Lions.

I'm trying to get irregularity in the streets.

And I just finished a block of W2W homes.

Birdtown Part II

The Animaltown Metropolitan Opera and Orchestra performs here by the river.

The Nest. A place for great nightlife and shopping.

The Riverside Interchange Port. One of three in the city. It is basically a heliport. But I put U drive-it in there so I can fly around my city.

I've been slowly working on the north part of Animaltown. East Chester Park.

I liked the rowhomes so much I decided to build a larger development.

I apologize for the delay, this week has been a pretty crazy week.

Right above Ani Park lies Old Downtown. Its our second to last stop on the commercial districts tour.

Its home to the oldest skyscrapers in the city.

The Entertainment District houses the world famous Skylark Tower which gives a beautiful panoramic view of Animaltwon.

In the Northern section of Old Downtown is the huge transit Hub 34th Street Station

Animaltown Penn Station and Toys R Us

Ani Park Zoo and Aquarium

Freeman's Cemetary. A place to put the wealthy Residents of Mane Island to rest.

Theres no progress to show in this update because I've been so busy. Have a happy holiday.

The Stock District takes up two city tiles so i spliced them together.

Its named the Stock District because the Animaltown Stock Exchange is located here as well as giant stock trading companies.

Hey guys. Its been a while because I havent had much time lately.

 

So this is the final look at the commercial and residential sides of Mane Island

If you want to see where these places are in Mane Island, see the map in the first Mane Island post.

A look at the Olde Downtown which was Ani's landing way back when.

The district of Jo and Elson Park.

Some buildings in East Park overlooking the North side of Ani park. Prime real estate.

Westminister and Tri-Cities Island. On the island is a major transportation hub and Tri-Cities Stadium- home to Minor leauge sports.

West Water and the Caimbridge tunnels. These tunnels connect Mane Island to Spaniels and Lions.

Ani Park is the jewel of Mane Island. It is the green island in the sea of concrete (which is on an island).

This took me a long time to create.

On to the next section of Animaltown.

So I might as well start the tour East to West.

So back to my Starwars analogy. In the universe this would be like the Mid Rim in that its close to the core but the region is not as wealthy. This is one of the hoods of Animaltown.

There are three gateways into The Lions from Mane Island

The southernmost are the Cambridge Tunnels and Cambridge.

Highest north is the Tri Cities Bridge.

The real estate is quite nice in East Savahna with sprawling condos.

Farther West, the projects start to come into view.
