Is it possible to have different in game camera angles?

I've seen some screenshots of Simcity 4 that really do not look like they were taken with the standard isometric camera angles. I don't remember which ones or their locations, though.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

In the game, you are limited to the four standard trimetric views.

With an image editing program and some practice, however, you can give the illusion of a different view. This is what is done for the pictures you are referring to.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I can tell you that it's definitely not in game 9.gif

There's absolutely no way to add new camera angles to the game because of the way the game is built. What you've seen is probably just normal game screenshots skewed in Photoshop or another image editing program.

You can't "add angles" for the simple reason there are no "cameras".. its all planar at fixed angles

No! Impossible!

......I would even say far from Impossible.

...all the buildings and props have been rendered so you can see it from 4 angles and 5 different heights and these images are stocked in the game. No way to do different nor add any other angles. If you want more then go to Cities XL.

The BAT, for example, is limited to the four angles you get.  Each scene is rendered four times at five mangnifications giving you 20 views, but with the exception of detail, all are the same.  This type of rendering is called 2½D.
