Ya where do you know where all this friggin vandalism happens? In CONECEPCION CHILE. Where moralty doesn't exists, respect for property is something unknown and my classmates, well, did most of that, and if someone doesn't do it, it is a *****, boring nerd and all those.

This one will be worser than other years, since I live in better neighbourhood, lower class people usually go here, and this one will be worse since the earthquake and two tornados after (one on July and other on Thursday 28) destroyed some of those houses, their parents have more chances to bring them here.

Still some issues happen on 31. Car accidents on night (which relates to big parties on night, which I don't get what really that has to do), kids with digestive illnesses, assaults to kids (yup, it happens) and many more.

And all I said is true. I had an eggy thing on my front wall on 30, which has white with yellow, but still wasn't sure what it was and to my amusment it had newspaper (now it got weathered and got erased).

I see candy papers on floor on 31, toilet paper strain on some streets, etc.

I still don't get the point of copying this "festivity" even though it has nothing to do with Chile. Why I would had dressed up as a monster and ask for candy when I can get a big bag of one for 1,50 dollars.

EDIT: It's not a trick ore treat here, it's treat or we-f***-your-house-and-leave-a-huge-crap.

The level of mischief is directly proportional to the concentration of mischievous teenagers. When we first moved to where we now live (we're talking late 90's here), something in the neighborhood got TPed every year (one year it was the trees in our front yard), and there was other tomfoolery as well. Then the kid in who was doing this stuff with his friends went off to college and it stopped.

(though, we did have a few unrelated incidents of hooliganism this past summer...)

I don't really care about Halloween anymore... but then again, I'm too old to be going trick-or-treating and I don't get invited to parties, so there's nothing in it for me.

All Hallows Eve has become dangerous even for kids these days.  Unwholesome characters have taken to doctoring candy and chocolates with foreign objects, like needles.  I am very much afraid the whole thing should be dropped.

When I was a tweener, one of the good tricks on Halloween was to move someone's outhouse back three feet (yes, I lived in the country).  You can imagine the surprise for the guy who fell in the hole.

I've never had problems before with people going mad sure there is the occasial person who partys too much but never mass destruction of neighborhoods.  I'd sugesst move or get something to defend yourself with and if they come near your house get them away, there is no excuse for properety damage to ones house.

Its a sign that when people get angry, some of them become intellectually bankrupt.  Swearing, as you call it, or cursing if you like, is not necessary.  You can always find an expression that says it all without vulgarism.

Some people just get so upset that they can't find a good word to replace some sexually explicit epithet.  I don't think there is any point in raising the idea of a female dog about it.

Wow,  i never thought too much into it but if people are going to destoy your property you gotta do something to protect it, get a pitbull perhaps? I've never had problems before with people going mad sure there is the occasial person who partys too much but never mass destruction of neighborhoods.  I'd sugesst move or get something to defend yourself with and if they come near your house get them away, there is no excuse for properety damage to ones house.quote>

Justice: So've you entered to a house, hit all the people, tight them up in a closet, hit them again and steal all their $$. Nope, just normal theft, you get free. 1 one 17 year old teenagger had more than 107 encounters with justice. Do you think if justice does this, they will get a fee? No.

oh I so love that halloween is slowly starting off in europe aswell. here in germany, we have something called "hexennacht" or "walpurgisnacht", the night to the 1st of may, which basically equals the halloween funs, but without the spooky pumpkin and witches stuff. no with helloween becoming more popular, we got us 2 nights of filled with everything from tped porches and the funny likes to serious damage to property like burning cars etc.

yet another fun event going down for the sake of some ignorant idiots considering it fun to destroy things... sadly.

Thanks, although I live nearly 3,000 miles away, so attending would be difficult anyway. 3.gif

Well, my mother always told me and my sisters not to eat any of our candy until she had a chance to inspect it. Seems like a reasonable policy.

Though, in our case this was also so she could pull out anything containing nuts (two of the three of us are allergic).

When I was a tweener, one of the good tricks on Halloween was to move someone's outhouse back three feet (yes, I lived in the country).  You can imagine the surprise for the guy who fell in the hole.quote>

    Heh. Wow, that's evil.
