I do 3D buildings for GoogleEarth...

    That is, as soon (and IF) the game, in the future, starts allowing custom buildings. I guess that while none of you can EXACTLY know whats needed for Cities XL2011, some of you may have worked doing buildings for SimCity... and if so, is it much different than the GoogleEarth process?

    I have over 80 buildings modelled in GoogleEarth. I wont post any link here or you guys might think I am making some advertising...

    Just want to say that I will try to help model buildings, if that becomes possible in the future!

    Maybe even model some arcologies, like Try 2004 or XSeed 4000.

    Let's see...according to the programming videos from early Cities XL pre-release, they use low-poly count 3DS Max models to use as buildings. So you probably model using Sketch-Up, and Sketch-Up definitely has an export function to allow models to be used in 3DS-Max, so if your models are of fair quality, you could probably find space here for your talents (assuming, of course, that we ever actually have the way to take buildings from 3DS and put them into the game...).

    I use LightWave 3D with LWCAD plug-in to model architecture for a flight simulator. Would be super cool to make existing real-life airports for Cities XL! Both small airfields and larger national and international airports. 4.gif

    No, but if we want to import custom buildings into CXL we could ask Focus for the tools. Im not entirely sure we'll get them though.
