Haha I love it, I never thought anything from Canton would be important, but then I looked around as I was driving through suburbia and noticed some really cool buildings.  Anyway Bud, Schuler I believe is located on Koppernick, but I am not totally sure about that.  I would love to model the Summit but I am not that skilled with the BAT yet, so I hope someone can help out with that I am really wondering how I am supposed to get a metallic window texture  I just hope I can do this

I cannot find any pictures of the building on yahoo! I dunno where I can get some, so I am just going to keep searching until I can find something, so for now the project will not get started. Thanks for the help Bud.

No problem, you could just go take a few pictures yourself. Sometimes it's next to impossible to find what you're looking for on Yahoo, google and such so your best bet would be to go there yourself and take the pictures you need of it. The building doesn't look overly complicated, just looks like a bunch of boxes stacked at different elevations. Should be a nice one when you get started...

Thats what I was thinking, but I don't go by the Schuler building unless I am going to like Ann Arbor or something. I'll see what I can do though.

Well since that's the case I could do it for you. I live in Belleville, so I'm only 15 minutes away. Not only that but my girlfriends and my immediate family live there as well so I'm in Canton all the time. Give me a couple of days and they'll be posted within this thread for you.

I just got lucky. I found one good picture of the front, but I still need more. I also just found out that Schuler's US headquarters are here in suburbia. The building looks so awesome so I can't wait to get this started. And if you can get those pictures that would be awesome.

I apologize for that quadruple post, it was a bit late and I wasn't thinking. I never found out what happened to Farminsim? Did he just quit the comerica tower? Sorry about that Bud, I hadn't realized you posted that link. Are we going to wait for all projects to be finished and upload them to the STEX all at once or just upload as we go? Whatever, just wondering. Keep up the work men.

Thats really a shame because the Comerica was almost finished and it looked really good. Well I am trying to finish the Exit 69-Big Beaver Road sign, but I cannot find the right font. I hope I can figure it out soon.

Oh, someone is doing the Exit 69 sign finally.  I remember disucssing that at the Tigers game, wondering who was going to do it.

Nice av wolverine! I already took down my MSU one. If we win our first game I'll keep it up the whole season. I need to make a Lions one soon though. jondecker is making the Comerica Tower if you look back a few pages.

I got tickets to the Lions pre-season v.s. the Steelers game this coming weekend.  This will be the first time I've been to an actual game at the new Stadium.  I've been to plenty when they were at the Silverdome, so I expect this to be more fun!  I will also be taking more detailed pictures of the exterior since I don't have much around St. Antoine street. 

 

Anyway, here is the part I worked on first.  I call this side of the stadium the courthouse wall since the building to the right is the Washtenaw Co. Courthouse.

I have yet to add the top two floors.

 

 

I was originally going to slap a texture around the top of the building for the column detail, but decided to be a bit more artistic.

Hey guys I have rendered the sign (83 seconds) and it looks good, but I can't find out how to put it on a lot? Someone please explain this to me because I feel quite stupid not knowing how. I do have the lot editor too.

Well if you would like me to tweak it, I'll need some different dimensions for it to hang over the highway, and if there is anything else you guys want to changed let me know now.

It's not possible to have it hang over the highway because you would need it to take up two squares. It's not possible to transit enable for a highway is it?

Ok, well I just had a revelation, I'll make the sign in paint and try texturing it onto the rectangle, I just hope it'll work, so we will find out very shortly.
