airport question

Couldn't find an answer to this exact question, so forgive me if its been answered and I was not smart enough to find it.

Is "Major International Airport" the largest stage of the stock maxis airports?? I have a city with about 280k residents(1/3 of a large tile or so), the airport has already been upgraded to "major international" and no matter how high i make the funding its effectivness is 0. Is there another stage it will grow too or am i stuck with simply building another airport on the tile, which I am trying to avoid at all costs.

I know there are probably some on STEX but thats not an option for me, SC4 is on a different computer without internet access, just wondering if I am now stuck with a dilapitated looking airport in the city for the forseeable future

you can download another airport on the internet accessable computer and use a flash drive (memory stick) to trasport it to the sc4 computer

You can build more than one airport, but possibly your "expansion problem" is simply due to the lack of room for the airport to expand. If you go to the airport menu and select the largest version and "hover" it over your current airport, you can see how large it will have to be.

Well, my city pop. is at 1.7 million, and my airport has the capacity of 10,000,000. when your airport reaches the capacity, it will just ask you to upgrde it , but the size do not changes

mimoys1, might want to remove the triple post.

The airport should expand when it reaches capacity. I would still recommend downloading ACE's terminal packs from the STEX. Much more realistic, and you can build as big as you want. It would be pretty easy to get them onto your SC4 computer.
