I'm not a specialist, but it should work on W 7 64 bits. I myself have W 7 32 bits and it works fine.

As for multicore - no. But they claim to have developed at least a partial optimisation..... I don't have any idea what that means, but I gathered that some processes of the game will indeed use different cores. Not the game as a whole, though.

Sorry if I'm being confusing.

One question I have is did they change how traffic reacts at a stop light. In 2009, Traffic moved one lane at a time, even if there were two or more lanes (such as avenues). Did they change that to be reflective of real life?

There is a improvement with the trafficlayer. Before stoplights the traffic turns into a darker color. For example: The traffic on a street is yellow at all. Than it will be red in the area before the crossing.

But the graphical bug which you meant isn't solved, sorry.

OK, I apologize if this has been answered already, BUT will there be a CXL 2011 limited edition that would follow in the footsteps of CXL LE 2009? Also, will there be any differences in CXL 2011 based on the type of CXL 2009 one upgrades from? i.e. if one has a CXL 2009 standard, will they get the same CXL 2011 content as those who upgrade from CXL 2009 limited edition?

Not that I know. We haven't tested any...

As I said, I don't think there will be a LE. So yes, I guess everyone'll get the same content. But, who knows? FHI may surprise us.

Well, I have a Standard 2009 edition, but am wondering if it's worth it to buy the Limited Edition 2009???

SO, just to make it clear, will EVERYONE have the same upgrade to CXL 2011 irregardless of if you own CXL 2009 Standard OR Limited Edition?

We don't know for sure. But it's almost sure sinse nobody mentioned anything about CXL 2011 LE. If there's no alternative, then everybody gets the same deal.

FHI doesn't told us about any Limited Edition. So nobody knows, but it doesn't seems like there will be one.

I am a big fan of Cities XL, but was dissapointed with the highway tools. Have they added any more off ramps? If not, can you simply create your own interchanges? Also, can you create your own street and freeway signs?

A .layout file of a highway interchange is unbelievable long. It's quiet a lot of work to create a new one.

And no, there weren't new interchanges in the beta.

I came up with this question about a week ago, but never got around to asking it. It's something I belive would really enhance realism even if we don't have the option to build elevated stations.

Does elevated rail have an option to change appearance to look similar to or like the ones in the early previews of the game, or is it not yet and in development, or neither?

Here is a photo for reference.

    Here is the video.

The most important question for me is if we will be able to create and use custom content? Make our own buidiling just like we do in SC4? If yes, then is it gonna be as simple like in SC4?

I mean, sure they added a few nice things to CXL11 but I don't think Im gonna spend another XX euros just for those things coz I already bought CXL09.

Just let us make and add to the game our own buildings and other stuff and we will make this game awesome, just like we did with SC4 9.gif

I mean, how many people would be still playing SC4 if there would't be custom content? I wouldn't 3.gif

Honestly, you guys know I'm a big fan of CXL and have supported it all along - just look at the sheer number of CJs I have posted -- but if the ability to create and use custom content is not offered, I'm not going bother buying /upgrading to the new 2011 version. IMHO, virtually all CXL cities I have seen look way too much alike, limited by the number of available buildings... I have found myself playing SC4 again in recent weeks because CXL offers very limited modding opportunities... With SC4, I can download THOUSANDS of user-created buildings....

    Again and again and again...

custom content tools probably will be offered later.

And again... SimCity4 has been released in 2003, and custom content started more than one year later. CXL does not have 7 years of custom content...

    EDIT:

new screenshots published... they come from beta cities 2.gif

As it stands, it is possible to change textures and move around props (in 2009 version).

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Yeah, but CXL09 is out for a while...

And we dont expect CXL to have thousands of user-created buildings at the start, we just want a tool to do them.

    @Rokugatsu,

FHI is busy with CXL 2011 right now. They can't just say "Let CXL 2011 behind. We're gonna make a tool for custom content. " They've promised a release date. They can't just... forget it, y'know? 2.gif

But if I remmeber corretly, before CXL09 was released, they was talking something about program for making building for CXL. They even showed us a photos from that program, so they was working on it long time ago.
