    New screenshots!!!

Looking at the map, Dubai is a desert. However, the city that is in construction are full of rivers and lakes. Also, they used a lot of circles as part of the city planning. Too bad Cities XL does not have more modern architectures. Otherwise, this couldve really be a 21st century city.

    Skilled Residential neighborhood

A new neighborhood that I'm working on left side of the map.

Night time scene of the neighborhood. Wish the streetlights were brighter.

The traffic in the city is not bad at all. Some parts are yellow with no reds even without highway. I'm sure this will change once I add more level 2 and 3 residentials.

Overall view of the city. The center is going to be zoned with offices. The big plan is to create a beltway that wraps around the office center. There will be direct links to the office center with underground highways. The office center currently is a big circle. I'm thinking of demolishing that and replace with the plan view of the petronas tower.

Oops... forgot to add more. A more close up view of the circle islands. Theres a main access road between them that is shaped like the wave.

The trick is to divert the streets onto main roads.

Logical sequence - road -> street -> main avenues -> Highways

This will force the traffic onto main road to get that effect. However, there might be a big traffic problem when you start to develop more.

I'm going to assume the oil keeps everyone happy as well as the landscaping green. hehe. Maybe on one of the section I'll keep the desert in place as a park.

That's got to be the worst plans for the desert I've ever seen. Your going to deplete all the water from the acquifers in no time...then what'll you do?
