Forumotion is pretty easy to manage. But you indeed need some skill to make your page look good. Anyways, I thought we were starting at Simtrop.

This is a good idea, but I'm questining whether it will be able to survive alone. SimCity 4 was a big game which a ton of people bought and flooded into the comunities all over the web. The same thing cannot be said for Cities XL. It would have been cool if the PO could have continued and we made out UN there; it would have had so many more possibilities. Besides that, this is still a good idea. Although, I would suggest waiting unitl Cities XL 2011. If it's started now, I'm not sure if so many people would join. If we wait, we would have a few more possibilies to expand on CXL UN.

So until then, we should develop a sound structure on how this is going to work. I suggest against making the systems require a considerable attenchion. We don't want this to become a chore.

Hi, everyone,

This is a great idea.   Your application thread has some great submissions.  Keep up the good work.  City journal unions at their best can foster teamwork, build relationships and add a lot to the fun of playing.   At their worst they can turn into rivalries between unions, leading to some quite uncivil and unacceptable behavior.    

You may or may not have noticed that Simtropolis doesn't have any forums for unions. This is because a while back we experienced them at their worst.   I won't go into details; let's just say it got extremely ugly and scary. This was a demonstration of how "a few bad apples can spoil the barrel". 

It was decided at that point that, while threads for communication and info would certainly be allowed, as long as site rules were followed, no forums would be created, and we wouldn't "host" them. I hope you can accept our point of view on this, and I wish you the best of luck with your union. 

The Community Goings On thread is a good place for your info thread, so place feel free to use that forum for whatever your communication needs will be.
