I don’t like wasting time playing around with little puzzle pieces, its takes too long. It seems I don’t have a ground level highway cloverleaf but I have 2 copies of the above level highway cloverleaf’s. I can’t get the road to join into them. Doesn’t anyone have a cloverleaf for 2 intersectional ground level highways? I’ve seen people build sunken highways with extra tools then painstakingly decorating the walls of the tunnels this is nice if you don’t want to see your highways but some cars may fall into the huge hole by mistake.

Why can’t a railway view or perceive the ground highway as a river or sea bed & build a small trellis or bridge over it instead of using digging tools to raise the ground & then using these puzzle pieces which often don’t work or you need so many dependencies or there are so many different similar ones you get confused?

Just make the train make a small bridge over the ground highway as you do going over water, comprende? & make it so there can be interconnecting traffic & if you can clearly explain how or dirrect me to a mod or lot piece that does this easily. Thankyou. {Why should life be so hard?} Also why does an avenue need to be the bottlenecked solution to connect to crossed ground highways together? isn’t there a ground highway cross intersection piece or cant it just make one up the moment you go over the other highway & make it like the above ground highways cloverleaf etc.

This is hard enough then there are canals which I don’t fully understand & where do you get all these digging tools etc? Forget puzzle pieces, there should be hmm, a ‘canal road’ & just make it by drawing lines like you do with roads anywhere you want little snake around edges etc, Make one. & if there is one where is it please?

{As I’m 2/3rds into the cites now I’m just after easy stuff like subways that easily travel up mountains 90 meters ? & higher etc & I got the easy bridge etc over water that was good} but it seems that you can’t make roads or ped tiles under the bridges so I have to have their edges close to the water I just thought it looks cool to have the bridge design over alot of your land but your roads can drive under it & I’m not talking flups I want to visually see it.

Also I hate seeing subway trains disappearing when they try to go on railways with the elevated to rail transition or any of those subway transitions to be honest, I really don’t know where to put the elevated rail to subway transition. I mean do you have to lay the subway line under the whole transition piece like the whole 3 squares or just the transparent hole where the train comes out & does it need to be parallel with the trains direction or can it do a 90 degree turn the moment it goes down into the subway??>3.gif>

I dont know for the last thing with the subways, but everything else would have been done the way you want it if it was possible by means of what the game allows us to do wihtout violating laws or the result was worth the effort.

EDIT: there should be a ground level highway cloverleaf tho

EDIT2: why did you post the same text in 2 different threads?

1a. Ground Highway Cloverleafs: Just take the ground highway tool and cross them. The game will ask you if you want to place one. You have to make sure you've given enough draw distance though, obviously its not going to let you place one when you haven't drawn out enough.

    1b:

this is nice if you don't want to see your highways but some cars may fall into the huge hole by mistake.

I don't understand by what you mean "fall into the huge hole by mistake." People don't drive off into a sunken highway (there are plenty out there, especially in semi-urban and some urban areas) just because its there.

2a: It kinda can, if you've ever tried drawing a length of rail across a ground highway it will autoplace a puzzle piece (like above) if you draw enough.

2b: You need to take the time to learn how to use them. Its like saying a computer is useless because you aren't able to turn it on even though its perfectly capable of doing so if you do it right. Take the time to learn how to use things, and the payoff will be huge.

    3: See #1, you're repeating yourself.

4: Making a native draggable network (click on the icon and just drag) is impossible, as its an exe controlled function. The best we can do is an override system, where you place a starter piece and take another network and drag off of it.

5: Again, exe controlled behavior. The game treats bridges like a giant wall, excluding ferries when applicable. The tiles are "occupied" and therefore cannot be built in.

    6a: Limitation of transition lot.

6b: Drag from the middle of the 3 tiles (so connect to the @ tile: #@#)

I don't know what to put here anymore.
