Well I'm a little doubt. I was wondering one thing, there was a high-income house in my town she was ugly but it was not for sale, when I clicked on it with the "?" the third "§" were deleted.

Does anyone know what happened to her drop to average income?

This condition (if I'm reading correctly) is called "dilapidation".. it is built into SC4 and occurs when the $$$ conditions fail to be kept up..very often it is due to inadequate jobs or long commutes, but can occur due to pollution, etc.. the building gets "run down" and lower income people move in.. you can bulldoze it or just ignore it and leave it alone

It's a problem that can quickly grow in a city if you don't start to deal with the isue right away.

Pollution is to be paid attention to for sure.

Make sure to place lots of green spaces in your residental, commerial and hi-tech sectors to try and prevent this from happening.

Keeping traffic flowing through the use of a rail-way system is a great way to avoid pollution problems as it dose not produce any pollution.

Make sure to keep your work close to your sims and your Comercial with your residents.

Once in a while you may need to buldoze some of your buildings to get in the type that are in demand when the demad for a certian type drops to low.

Go with those few tips and it should help you out. Through trial and error is the only way to really get better at it.

I have a fixed policy on dilapidation.  If a building is abandoned and the commute is marked as long, I bulldoze the building and rezone it commercial.  This has two effects:  gets rid of the eyesore abandoned building, gets a work place closer to the remaining Sims.
