Airport Lot

Can someone tell me if the Airport Tram Center lot by Suplado fulfills the same functionality as the BLS City and Airport Bus  Stop included in the AC_Functional_Airports v2.1 pack?

I have a scenario where I don't have any room to put down a large airport so I was thinking of using the BLS City and Airport Bust Stop since it only takes a 1x1 lot.

Yes, Suplado's was designed to fill the same purpose as an airport. However, it requires Swamper's Support File which is locked and no longer supported. Probably best to go with the Functional Airport lot.

Thanks Capt.  That is the reason I wanted to go with the Functional Airport lot.  I didn't want to run into the issue where CTD occurs and access to the city is loss permanently. Regardless I use SC4 Watcher so I would still have a backup to restore to.

@zahrul3 - Thanks.  I didn't know that it still required an airport in the region.  I thought it provided airport functionality independent of anything else.  Good to know and thanks.

Does it have to directly adjacent to it or just in the region?

I haven't built an airport near any of my cities, and the airport tram still works for me. I don't think it needs an actual airport anywhere - it functions as an airport itself.

^^Thats what I was hoping to hear. So do you build a custom airport and then use the airport tram for functionality or just use it exclusively for functionality?

Either way. If you want a custom airport, use the tram to add a functional "airport" when the city needs it. Or the airport tram functions as a stand-alone airport when space may not be available for a full-sized functional airport. It does not need any other airport in other nearby cities. Neighboring cities do not "communicate" nor "connect" as far as airports are concerned.
