I need a method of crossing regular rail with an avenue tramway.

I've tried to find a puzzle piece that will do it one swoul foop, but there doesn't seem to be one.  I am currently thinking of a below ground rail underpass, but can't seem to find what I need there either.

Help!

It looks like you're trying the Underground Rail pieces... First thing, you've got the tunnel entrances backwards. They'll need to be turned around so that rail section joins the above-ground line. From there, you can add the Underground Rail pieces adjacent to the other end of the tunnel entrances. Unfortunately, however, there is no piece that goes under Tram-in-Avenue, so you may need to reconfigure the crossing - perhaps a tunnel instead.

Thanks, I wondered about that.  Now, I hope the NAM team evemtially makes a piece that does underground rail with avenue/tramway on top.

There are pieces for the rail viaduct that cross the GLR-in Avenue, or you could convert the GLR into subway either side of the tracks. Pics in a sec...

I get the same effect from keeping the rail at-grade, putting a regular NAM avenue overpass over the top, and using the tram-in-avenue to subway transitions to send the trams underneath. It also provides a sneaky way of connecting your subway and tram networks, should you have both.

Interesting.  I am doing sandbox stuff recovering and learning new skills, so its not important.  Thanks for the ideas.

Just now, I was laying down a country club, out of town, of course.  It occurred to me that most such places  would have a ring road offset a little from their boundary.  I was thinking that if I left a one grid area and ran a dirt road, that I should be able to fill the void with some of the scrub and other stuff that is popular around here.  What I would like is some props that contain orange and/or red day lillies.

I am no great artist, but I suppose I could use a photo and BAT the props together, but I don't want to invent the wheel.  Does anyone know of any such props (ditch scrub)?

Peg has a couple mods that could be used to "paint" shrubs and small plants... (Link) (Link)

Also, don't know if you make it to SC4D or not, but Chrisadams has something that might work in his RRP thread - particularly the "Pasture Flora" link. (Link)

Thanks.  Yes, I get to SC4D when I need something really exotic.  I'll take a look, probably tomorrow, now.

    Edit: Monday, August 02 2010

The RRP is too much learning curve for me right now, so I decided to go with the Peg. props.  Thanks.

    Later: 01:18 PM

Used the Peg props with great success.  My country club verge looks very ratty.  Did you know that that thing comes up as undesirable to R$$ and R$$$.  They might play there, but golf course living isn't in the game.
