Driveways missing and other texture problems

To shorten things a little, I've got this little thing for you:

    maxah.png

In the red boxes, you see the problem; those are all Maxis buildings that have no textures at all on the lot, just the building and that's it. No driveways, the doctor's office is also missing it's parking lot.

Is this a known problem and how do I fix it? I'm running SC4 Deluxe and recently installed the SC4 EP1 Update and subsequently the fix for BAT night lights, might it have to do with that?

This only started happening very recently, so I don't think it's a machine problem because the machine didn't change. I've got a whole load of Lots and Mods installed, but I can't see this being a dependency thing, since it doesn't affect custom lots at all, only selected Maxis lots. In the green box, you see two maxis lots that function without problems. Changing the graphics settings does not affect this bug at all.

I do realize that there is a pretty recent thread here on the forums that tries to express a similar problem, but since that one is a little... picky about the information it provides, I thought I'd start a new one with a picture and all, hope you don't go crazy over that.

Help would be appreciated, I mean, this really doesn't look too beautiful.

Hmm. The only thing I can think of may be that your graphic settings are set to low. But I don't know, since it's not all the lots, but just some. You could try to check it, though.

Checked it, to no avail. Put it to the highest settings, restarted, still looked like this. And additionally lagged like Lucifer himself, but that's a different issue.

Oh, on a completely unrelated but equally important note, if anyone has an idea where to go with the road in the upper section of the picture, that ends in a roundabout, keep 'em coming. The roundabout looks awful, but just having it go lateral to the border would be cheesy as well and neighbour connections are almost impossible at that place without some really weird curves.

Installing the update will often (if not always) reset the graphics seetings to "Low," but as mentioned, this doesn't seem to be the issue here. Have you added any plugins recently that may be conflicting with the lots? A few years ago I had a similar thing happen, and it turned out to be some older park lots (if I rememeber correctly) that was causing it. You might try running the city without any plugins to see if the Maxis lots return to normal.

Also, does this happen in other cities and does this particular city happen to be large and well developed? It doesn't appear so from the image, but I thought I'd ask since the "Prop Pox" can cause issues with "spotty" props. I hesitate to bring it up because it is rare and depends on several factors. Just a thought...

Yeah, the graphics settings don't affect this, I'll try running it without any plugins later.

Anad nah, it's not really big. Well-developed as far as the small size is concerned, but mostly only a small industrial harbour and those scattered suburbs you see there, 4.000 inhabitants flat.

Thennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn again, I have an insane collection of custom content installed. The city isn't big, but the subfile might suffer. I don't know about you guys, but my entire backup of Installers and Zips for plugins is above 1.5 gigabytes in size, it's quite an excentrical collection. To anyone with insight into the Prop Pox matter, this does look a little like it, but with such a small city it doesn't seam reasonable, right? I mean, it would suck if I can't build cities larger than this without getting Prop Pox'd.
