Welcome to the city of Domascus,

Population: 325,000

The city was founded in 1066 by the normans, in 1288 the city was invaded by the romans and built what is dominantly the "old town", including domascus cathedral and many of the older streets.

Today Domascus residents are huge rugby and soccer fans, it has the reputation as the sporting capital of the country and its no wonder why it has been given the privilage to host the world cup.

some pics,

Some pics of the "old town", this part as you can see is still very much the bustling place it was hundreds of years ago, despite it being out of the city centre.

I love how the cathedral dominates the skyline rather than the usual skyscraper clump. Domascus is very unique, and the university is certainly very intricately planned.

Cool city! Superiour. The only thing I do not like very much is the look of the World Cup Campus. In my opinion there are too many stadia. I'd prefer one or two stadia 2.gif it makes it a bit more realistic. Hope this helps you out.

Cool thanks guys, im working on the city now, i think it will be tomorrow until pics are updated.

On the local news developers have been saying that even though there is a world wide recession, there should be enough development for the next 10 years, the city has a huge demand for unskilled workers, and so theres a masterplan to carry out a huge project for council housing, local residents are not happy with this but developers say that they will try and integrate the council areas into the city as best as possible, so we will have to see!

Where the world cup campus is concerned, i had thought in lowering the amount of stadiums but the city is the sporting capital of the country and holds the national stadium as well as the regional rugby and football stadium which will be used for concert events in the future so i think it was adequate haha!

    keep the comments coming!

Stadiums are all perhaps fine, but you really don't have enough parking spaces around them to accommodate all the sports fans.... 2.gif

thanks! its "the great lake" from the new mods..

Here is a journey i went on, it starts off going plane spotting by the airport, then i go accross the Domascus Memorial Bridge, through the low residential housing estates at the edge of the city, then through some of the main parts of the city centre to city hall, hope you enjoy!

ok looking at a couple planes from the great plaane spotting site, the airport carries all types of planes from the typical boeing 737

    cxlscreenshotdomascus18.jpg

    To the airbus A380

    cxlscreenshotdomascus20.jpg

One of the multistory car parks outside the airport

    cxlscreenshotdomascus21q.jpg

The main road leading out of the airport with the hotels

    cxlscreenshotdomascus22.jpg

Ahead you can see the bridge and downtown

    cxlscreenshotdomascus24.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus25.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus26.jpg

On the left you can see the harbours and port

    cxlscreenshotdomascus27.jpg

After the bridge you follow the road, already you are at the edge of the city

    cxlscreenshotdomascus28.jpg

Keep following the road, downtown is still far away, the buildings are just tall!

    cxlscreenshotdomascus29.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus30.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus31.jpg

At the end of the road you turn right

    cxlscreenshotdomascus32.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus33.jpg

Keep following the road and turn left, you are now entering the edge of downtown

    cxlscreenshotdomascus34.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus35.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus36.jpg

At the end of the road turn right

    cxlscreenshotdomascus37.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus38.jpg

Follow down the road and turn left

    cxlscreenshotdomascus39.jpg

Now we are down town, notice Domascus mall on the right

    cxlscreenshotdomascus40.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus41.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus42.jpg

At the end of the road turn left

    cxlscreenshotdomascus43.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus44.jpg

Keep going down here, notice the roads are much busier and there are loads of people around!

    cxlscreenshotdomascus45.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus47.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus48.jpg

Turn left by the royal hotel

    cxlscreenshotdomascus49.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus50.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus51.jpg

Turn left by the car park

    cxlscreenshotdomascus52.jpg

    Finally arrive at city hall

    cxlscreenshotdomascus53.jpg

Domascus International Airport, looking at terminal 1

The airport and harbor are very good. I like how you managed to get the three docks lined up almost perfectly. I also see that you've put some skyscrapers into your downtown. The construction pics were realistic, but I hope that this doesn't mean that Domascus will become yet another skyscraper megalopolis.

dont worry cobhris96, domascus is a well thought out city, it has designated areas for different things, the only major development in downtown will be improved infrustructure and more ancient landmarks, this city will be epic!

ok so heres an update overlooking the whole city so far, at the moment the population is 1,486,009

Some Aerial Views of the City with downtown clearly visible

    cxlscreenshotdomascus5.jpg

Traffic is ok around the whole city but as you can see the city centre is quite heavy during peak times eventhough there is a huge bus service

    cxlscreenshotdomascus6.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus7.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus8.jpg

This is the northern suburban town which contains the university, domascus industrial estate and a town centre, it is almost completly self contained, it is served by two tunnels connecting to downtown and domascus international

    cxlscreenshotdomascus9.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus10.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus11.jpg

Here are views of the low class areas, these are now ageing areas that would be considered "no go" areas, very dangerous but are concentrated in their own areas

    cxlscreenshotdomascus3.jpg

    cxlscreenshotdomascus4.jpg
