Welcome to the new forum directed about my newest city journal. This is where you can provide feedback, suggestions, or any comment about the city journal. This is also where I might post some sneak peeks to any upcoming updates and entries. So relax and watch this CJ unroll.

Edit: I might as well post a link. Dayershane City Journal

Here are some photos for you to ingest even though they probably don't taste very good.

UPDATE ON THE PROJECT OF HANFRESTAN:

In the limited Time I had to work on this fine city, I have started building on the other side of the river. After this, it may be awhile before I come back to the city. So enjoy these updated pics of Hanfrestan.

Upcoming events in this major project: More development on the side of the river. More development in the neighboring cities.

Unfortunately I cannot provide a regional pic at this time due to more than 85% percent is still un-terraformed. As always, feel free to make a suggestion.

Nice start. I do see you like Paris style buildings.

I can see lots of free spaces made of  park and plaza elements but what I don't see are large urban plazas or parks as nor do I see large boulevards.

And you really should learn how to use ramp, embanked and sunken traffic ways. That railway line meandering between the houses is just the opposite of adequate.

Concentrate heavy railways on some -wide and spatious - lines and stations and use ElRail / GLR / Subways for mass transit! Also, use the second / third level and avoid all these level crossings - especially in the larger towns of the 19th / early 20th century railways went either one level up or down!

    STATUS AS OF JUNE 30, 2010, 2:31 P.M.

The railroad in Dayershane has been deleted and the bridge with the huge slope has been deleted and will be replaced. Also I started constructing a major elevated rail station in place of the old railroad station. This elevated rail will be both the rail for the elvated rail and the rail for the trams. Pictures will come later.

The city looks nice! Even if the bridge is probably why Auto Insurance is so high over here.

    UPDATE ON PROJECT:

The bridge has been worked on; however, it is a different type of bridge and I kinda like the way this looks in the city. The Elevated Rail system is still being worked on though. Here is the picture of the bridge:

There you go. Tell me what you think. 1.gif

The bridge looks nice. I am a vanilla cjer, but I know that many others would recommend a slope mod if you are looking for realism.

I'm looking forward to seeing your elevated rail plan.

Status Update: I have been working on my other CJ so no new improvements have been made on Hanfrestan. In fact the transit system will probably be all elevated rail. I'm just to lazy to fool with GLR. 22.gif

Status Update: Nothing has been done to either CJ's in months...this CJ will more than likely be dropped or the first update might not even come until the spring. I might start it up again after the first year anniversary of me being on this site which is 2/20.
