I have the latest version of BAT4MAX, and 3ds max 2010; but on this one building which I deleted the light rigs, reset light and cameras, everything possible; it won't render normally as night.

Seeing as though pictures say a thousand words...

I can send the archive to someone who wants to look at it to see if it's just my computer or the file.

it isn't rendered right at day either.

I would venture the guess that you have more than 1 lighting rig in there.

Also clicking on "everything" isn't really a good way to solve a problem. If anything you're likely to make things worse. In fact, I'm pretty sure that this is what brought you into this situation in first place.

I would suggest to do following:

    1. check you rig file. Make sure it has NO lights in it. It shouldn't if you had a clean install of latest Bat4Max, but if you had previous installation of other version there may be - in Vista and W7 Program Files folder is semi-locked. This may prevent overwriting of files when copying them.

    2. once you've established that your RIG file (there should be only one, btw) is lights free, you should move to examine your scene file. First of all make sure that the LBTL is running e.g. that you have roll-out titled Let There Be Light. Given it is there you should check Layer Manager to see if you have a layer named "BAT Rig". Open it and see what you've got there. How many Suns and Skys you have there? Count ONLY the suns, Skys not their targets. If you have got MORE then 1 or each than you have got yourself orphaned Rig, or to be precise lights with no rig... Clicking ton delete Rig lights will not help here. You would need to remove them manually.

    3. in some rare cases the link to eternal Camera Rig file may become corrupted. This sometimes happens when export was interrupted by user when classical night scene was rendered (during the combined day/night export as opposed to separate TruNite type export). In that case you would be getting error medssage saying that particular camera couldn't be found... In that case go to the References->Xrefed Scenes and select the link (it may be in red or brawn) and click on "remove" button.

So try these and let me know if your problem had been resolved.

    1. The rig definitely has absolutely no lights, and neither does the scene.

    2. This is the view of the layer manager.

I just deleted everything in the BAT rig, and reapplied ltbl. It works perfectly now! Thank you very much!!
