Downloaded buildings lacking night lighting.

 I have SC4 deluxe, the game is updated with EP1 and then with EP2 (sc4update4bat.exe).  In my prior experience this should fix the night lighting problem.  But it didn't work this time, I am not sure what I missed.  I even reinstalled the game, but the problem persists.  I would appreciate any help.

You can check the properties of the SimCity 4.exe file to see if the patches were, in fact, applied. It should be version 1.1.640.0 if all the patches were applied. If it's not, perhaps something in your operating systems settings is keeping it from updating. What system are you on?

My version is 1.1.610. So the patches are not properly applied??? I will try re-applying the patch and see what happens.

In order for the patch to "take" you must have the original cd-version of the .exe exactly as installed with no mods of any sorts (not plugins, but mod's to the exe such as cpu affinity, etc)

Now I know why it isn't working. It's because I've been using a no-cd crack. I have never used a no-cd crack for SC4 until now. This is because my new gaming PC does not have an optical drive. I have found a way around this problem though

What is the solution yiplong? Im also use no-cd .exe files and the nightlights do not work on my downloaded content..
