Everytime I play I have to re-set the resolution back to 1440x900 as the game always boots up in the minimum resolution.

Is there anything obvious that I can change to to stop this happening?

Same thing has happened to me as well -- it is very annoying -- doe anyone have a solution to this problem? I wonder if everyone BELIEVES their resolution is higher, but it's always set to 1440x900 anyway....

What OS do you have? Also, what are your game properties? ( The properties where you right click on the icon and select properties.)

Hmm, I always set it to 1366x768 (my max screen resolution) but I don't have problems with the resolution after that.. What I do have is that the game sometimes automaticly sets the graphics to very low quality -.- rather annoying it is.

I use the native resolution for my screen (1366x768) but 1024x768 is distorted, although it is that resolution. Just to ask a question, is CXL a game that requires a good cpu or gpu, because I have an i5-520, and I can barely play on medium. I have an ATi 4570, so does anyone know is there a way to run on higher settings with better fps? Resolution doesn't seem to help, more it seems worse due to the distrotion.

I apologise if I have re-opened a "dead thread" but this is a similar graphics/video problem I'm having with Cities XL 2011. While playing my game, it runs fairly well for a while until my screen goes blank and I get the message "Input Not Supported" and my monitor goes into Stand-by mode. I run my monitor at its native res (1680 x 1050 32bit clr) at a 60Hz locked refresh rate. After I reboot the pc, the res is still the same but the refresh rate has changed to (usually) 59Hz.

I was using the no-pollution mod so I removed it and tried again but same thing, game plays for a while then goes blank. It only does this on Cities XL 2011, all other games/programs are working normally.

Graphics card is Radeon HD2400 512MB using DVI output. CPU is P4 (2 processor) 3GHz with 2GB RAM. Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit (4096 MB swap file) - all drivers etc updated to latest available.

Any suggestions you might have on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated, it's driving me mad to get into a city and have it crash halfway through!!!!!!!!

This might be a problem with my drivers but my monitor is 1680x1050 but I can only set display to 1600x1200. This stretches everything noticeably.

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11
