Graphics problems.

After playing with no problems for the last few months, I turned on the game after a few days without playing, and this happens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I'm getting the gdriver message when the game loads. 

I'm running on a Compaq Presario cq61. Pentium dual-core CPU T4200 @2.99GHz. 3.0GB RAM. Mobile Intel Series Express Chipset. I know it's crappy but it's always ran smoothly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Done that, it still says gdriver on the tab but doesn't load at all now.

That is the characteristic look of a video card problem. I assume by your statement above about a "g driver?" that perhaps you tried that.

have you tryed playing it in software rendering mode? my laptop vid card dosnt suport the game, and whene i turn it to hardware rendering (for screenshots purpose on some things) i get that type of "distorted"... (dunt know how else to call it) rendering of the game...

You don't need the newes t GDriver. All it is is a waste of space which is no help at all. If someonte tells you to get new software to fix that problem, whitout even knowing what it its in general, never do it!. Most of them time it just messes it up. Just try like pipelad said. I had the problem, that is definately the reason. I would recommend uninstalling the new driver if it has screwed up the game.
