Regions.

Is there any way to sort out maps that were simply terraformed with Maxis provided tools only?  My computer has trouble downloading SC4 Terraformer/Mapper.  Just curious.  If I could, I would create my own regions, but they just don't look realistic enough for me.  Thanks.

you can try the ctrl+shift+alt+r method and load a bitmap that is the same size as the region

Check the Mapping Community Board Room forum for topics that deal with getting the Mapper to run. 

There are lots of maps on the STEX that don't require the Mapper to install.  Generally if the map has a config.bmp with it, it doesn't require the Mapper.
